Credit to Couture for fighting with a broken jaw and all but not too much. You don't get credit for being tough and taking punishent when you clearly don't know what do in a fight. Kim is not a fighter...she trains like one, but that doesn't make you a fighter. I don't think training with Tae- bo every morning qualifies me as a martial artist. Kim should use the same logic. Both ladies showed a lot of heart and pure determination. Couture had the advantage on the ground but only in the aspect of position and controle. But she never capitolized on it and have out no damage. Rose obviously had the advantage standing up. Her strikes were on target and relentless. I think with some work on stand up strikes and counter strikeing couture would be a great fighter. And with some take down defense and a solid ground game rose would be an almost unstopable force.

to me it looked like rose lost. she won the stand up easily but lost the takedowns and ground game which counts a lot for points. couture should of came up victorious. so she dominated? bullshit dude.
How did Rose lose the ground game? Kim couldn't get dominant positions and Rose threw more punches. All Couture did was lay on top of her and threw stalling punches every now and then. Besides, either the ref really sucked or he was trying to help Couture by not standing the fight up as much as it should have been.
so... if i lay on top and land 2 punches a round but i take about 20 punches a round from the person on the bottom i win?... at best u can call it a draw.. if u wanna be biased
the judges score the bouts on effective stricking, wrestling and aggression. to me the wrestling was one by couture and the striking won by rose. its hard to call the aggression because both would show it off and on. and i wouldnt be surprised if it was a draw.

to me it looked like rose lost. she won the stand up easily but lost the takedowns and ground game which counts a lot for points. couture should of came up victorious. so she dominated? bullshit dude.

How did Rose lose the ground game? Kim couldn't get dominant positions and Rose threw more punches. All Couture did was lay on top of her and threw stalling punches every now and then. Besides, either the ref really sucked or he was trying to help Couture by not standing the fight up as much as it should have been.

so... if i lay on top and land 2 punches a round but i take about 20 punches a round from the person on the bottom i win?... at best u can call it a draw.. if u wanna be biased

the judges score the bouts on effective stricking, wrestling and aggression. to me the wrestling was one by couture and the striking won by rose. its hard to call the aggression because both would show it off and on. and i wouldnt be surprised if it was a draw.

ha ha artie, no not at all. Kim Rose was awesome! I was very impressed. She is a boxer though too right? Nice right hand ;) No I still think the commentary SUCKED and they shoulda given her major props. That's what happens when your boss is one of the fighters LOL just wanted you guys to see the interview...relax dude.

I'm not sexyst at all, I'm all for women mma I love Gina Carano and Katie Young but there's something sick in this fight. Seeing a women getting her face battered like this is not appealing to me as a human being or as a mixed martial artist

damn it's not letting me load a link to KC's interview on sherdog. just go to sherdog's site and check out mike sloan's interview with kimmie. It's a good one. Apparently KC was reaching out to touch gloves (as we are used to in most mma fights) and KR didn't see this or was too nervous/eager to crack her right off the bat. Great interview

I read about the fight and it wasn't as one sided as I was lead to believe. Couture was hammered on the feet but her takedowns were good. She was hanging tough in there alright - her heart will never be questioned that's for sure - blimey.

kim couture had some nice takedowns but then she didnt do anything with it. rose landed some hard shots im surprised kim couture kept fighting with a broken jaw and nose. shes tuff i would have tapped out.
