What about Colors and Generations? Check out the HD version of Generations. Many people seem to like that game and consider it to be one of the best Sonic games, in a long while. Colors is good, too, but Generations is pretty much the "big" version of Colors. Don't let Free Riders destroy your impression of how Sonic did in 2010 (Colors and Clasic Collection make up for the disaterous racing game). However, I can say that Riders 3 may have peramently doomed the Riders series.
