is the edge too fkn high and mighty to appear here.. guy rly sux, the part of the film where he's playing a shitty riff and it sounds like there's three guitar players, the guy cant play the guitar without effects, truly pathetic
the edge is an architect,,the man builds beautiful sound,,,intricately and bold and passionate,,,think of how simple all the great sonatas melodies were, just compounded by the "effects" of their times, the horn ans string sections, echoing, repeating, twisting and pulling the melody through the bliss,..the edge does this in spades
The Edge is a nice guy but he reflects a generation of retarded. Popularity doesn't make you a good musician. He didn't invent anything at all. I think someone before him invented a D major chord with dotted 8th note delay...He is a beginner, if you can play the Xbox Rockband game you can play the Edge. If I were J Page I would feel insulted for being associated with Edge. Page is up there with the greatest (Hendrix, Steve Morse, Eric Johnson, Malmsteen).
@myuncle2 and they were people that invented a guitar solo and distortion before Jimmy Page and the Deltablues was invented before Jack White was born.
@myuncle2 I think you are wrong The edge invented new guitar sounds in the 80ties. You are right he is not a technical wonder but he serves the song well. But Hendrix and Cobain where occupied in heaven so they took The Edge!
sorry I offended you. She's just not my type. She seems like she just came out of a teen punk store after getting a crappy makeover asking "do I look like I know who the led zeppelins are?"
Staci, here. As Jimmy Page said in this video when asked by another reporter, "Who is better: the young, or the old?" Jimmy said, "It doesn't matter how old you are, if you'e young at heart." He's right. And why is it an issue? Funny what people on YouTube will latch onto. Anyhow, That vintage Pucci dress I'm wearing is older than I am: It's definitely not from a teen punk store! And yes, I do know who "the Led Zeppelins" are, in case there is any doubt. I grew up in the music world.
No, but you're sweet to ask! I think you'll really like the movie. I can't believe it's still so far off. Personally, I hope there will be more press screeings here in L.A. sooner. I'd really like to see the flick again.
Sorry if I seemed rude..I was just curious because the person made out you were old and you don't really look old at all so I didn't get the hateful comment. But keep doing your thing, girl, love your style, your hair and I'm truly jealous of you! If I were in the same room as Jack White, I think I'd melt before he said hi.
No worries. My response was more directed toward the anonymous "zeikorou" — who, it's clear, is not a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Finishing School. As for Mr. White, he was lovely, polite, and gracious. All three of them were fantastic to talk to, at the junket and at the premiere. I'm glad they were so available to the film press, because we don't get many opportunities to talk to great musicians and documentarians.
prolly the cheesyiest film ever

The edge doesn't belong here, his theme song should have been 'creep' by Radiohead.

Mr. Page is definitely quite charming. I LOVE the silver hair and find him very very attractive at this time - even moreso than when he was younger.
