Farm raised catfish sometimes give off a 'fishy' flavor, but a freshwater river cat that is constantly swimming the current (no fatty deposits) are great to eat. I have had cats that did not taste all that (usually farm-raised) but I have had cats (river-raised) that are sooooo freaking good....there is definitely a difference.

Farm raised catfish sometimes give off a 'fishy' flavor, but a freshwater river cat that is constantly swimming the current (no fatty deposits) are great to eat. I have had cats that did not taste all that (usually farm-raised) but I have had cats (river-raised) that are sooooo freaking good....there is definitely a difference.
