I don't understand how euthanising the strays helps? Is it reducing the population in any way? You say it is to make room for more, but perhaps they would rather be living on the street than dead? I'm just sayin as I live in Thailand, a country that doesn't ever euthanise- even though the dogs are kept in tiny cages and even when they are suffering incredibly, in those situations I think they would rather not be living... So sad, either way really. ADOPT your pets people! & STERILIZE them!

what makes me feel worse is...I live near this shelter and have been there. I have never adopted there but only because I have 9 animals already at my home. I would feel so horrible working there but as an adult eventually I want to work my way up to become a veterinarian and adopt animals when I have a bigger home and my own choices rather than my parents'. the only animal I have ever bought from a store is one of my four ferrets.

I was linked to this video which was on a link which was on Facebook. I volunteer with several animal rescue groups and currently have 2 foster babies in my home. I just hope one day, there won't be another animal killed because no one wants him. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all that you do to help speak for the ones that don't have a voice.

Why are pit bull mixes so prevalent in these shelters? Here in Maryland nearly every single dog at all the shelters I went to in the Baltimore County area were pit bull mutts. And in my area, they aren't allowed int he community so can't be adopted.

Is it time to start making pet stores neuter and spay all animals they sell and for a very strict licensing procedure for breeders?

This is so sad to see all of these sweet babies that just want to love and be loved. I've helped many animals that needed fostering..and I have to say that aside from being a mother, it's the most rewarding thing in the world. I can't wait to eventually get back into the field of helping animals and get back into fostering and providing assistance to these babies that need all the love and help they can get!

It is so sad how these animals have to be put down. All animals have the potential to be great house pets. And I mean All animals. I am 14 yrs. and I volunteer at my local shelter and when I get older I no that I want to help improve the lives of the shelter animals.

I am not a rescuer, bit I have rescued parrots for worse reasons that were shown here today. What a nightmare.....

I just have a hard time even thinking about this....What a shame as so many of these dogs were so loving.....

This video made me soo sad I owned a Maltese Mix I think either poodle or Bishon I found her wondering on a parking lot dirty full of fleas people will pass by and don't even look at her we brought her home gave her food a bath and she has been living with us for over a year and I love her to death! We got our cat, din-din from this facility. He is awesome. We also adopted 2 black labs who were "fearful." They are great pets and very very good with my grandchildren. I wonder what would happen to me if I lived in a kennel. I have been known to be irritable around people who are not responsible with animals and our environment.

That was very difficult to watch, especially when you realize that for some of those dogs, it was their last day of life. So many pit bull mixes!

They are so trusting and have no idea what is happening to them. So tragic.

Everyone in Maricopa County, and everywhere else in this country, needs to see this video.

Brilliant. Everyone please share this video with ever your entire mailing list!! People must stop buying puppies and kittens on Craigslist which is FULL of back yard puppy millers. PLEASE ADOPT from shelters and Rescue Groups!! And, SPAY/NEUTER any strays or neighbor's roaming pets!! Also citizens can Google "Nathan Winograd" and read his book to learn how all shelters CAN become "no-kill". It all starts with public awareness, so thank you HALO Rescue for this outstanding video.
