  • This GYC was wonderful. All the people in Louisville, Ky. were visited from these Youth. The messages were very spiritual. God bless GYC and all the Ministry.

  • Fraudulent, psychologically destructive ideology here that separates it's followers from the rest of the human race resulting in a dogmatic, divisive, polarized, we/they, binary mindset.

"We didn't come into this world... we came out of this world." ~ Alan Watts

  • when and where is the 2010 gyc conference

  • @Cebsa

    Baltimore, Maryland.

  • Hi everyone!

I invite you all to visit the website my husband and I recently launched, Sabbatismos: Finding Our Rest in Christ. We pray you'll be blessed by what we have to share.

    Blessings in Christ,

    Sabbatismos (Heb. 4:9)

  • Glory to God for these young ppl who are ready to give their all for the glory and praise of HIS name!!! AMEN

  • hey im already adventist and i missed the GYC 2010 on TV is there anywhere i can download it or watch it online?

    Thanks Happy sabbath

  • God says in Isaiah 1:18 "COME NOW, and LET US REASON together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

I used to think the problem was God, but in time God showed me that the issue with our relationship or lack thereof was me and my choices.

I invite you Cosmic to Reason with God on his terms and try him not according to your standard or methods, but according to his.

  • I've actually completed the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation just November of Last Year I admit it was longer than usual, but I repeated sections and books again and again learning and seeing more that I had missed on my first read through them before I moved on to the next book. I can tell you God spoke to me through Psalms 19:7 and I can tell you with all my heart the Law of The Lord is perfect and it does, through it's author Convert the soul. Also Wisdom is truly imparted.

  • As I read I found more promises in his word with conditions like Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknlowedge him and he shall direct thy path. I saw how I could be confident that God was directed my life. He said If I seek him if I find him if I search for him with all my heart. I will tell you now 8 years later I am still a bible believing Christian and I live by Faith in the Almighty God who was, is and forever shall be.

  • So I began in the Summer of 2002 18 years old my search for God. Beginning in Psalms 1 with the confidence of Psalms 19:7. Through the Psalms, I learned what Christianity is all about. I saw God's loving guidance for his people. I saw what things I should avoid(Psalms 1:1), I saw the type of relationship God wants with me(Psalm 23). I saw the type of Character that will make it to Heaven(Psalm 15) I saw the prophecy of my Saviour on the cross(Psalm 22), I saw how I should view sin(Psalm 51)

  • It said exactly what I needed to hear. It gave me confidence for I had always heard that God didn't lie and there is a scripture in Hebrews 6:18 I later found that states that. So in this promise I was told that his word is perfect and it will convert my Soul, Also that it is sure, reliable, tried, and true. It testifies of the Lord who I greatly wanted to know, and as an added bonus I'll be wise.

  • I didn't know where to start the only scriptures I had were those breast fed to me through the years. Never on my own searching. So I prayed to God grapped my bible and opened it randomly and pointed at a particula random area on the left side of the page. It was Psalms 19:7 It stated "The Law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul, the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

  • So In the Summer of 2002 I said Father here is my Heart, Life and will. I prayed for his wisdom and then I began to seek him with all that was in me. I turned of the music and movies that promote sex, materialism, selfishness, pride, violence,... and went to his word. I didn't know where to start and I really had no desire, But I made a aggreement with God to search for him according to his way so to the word I went.

  • I was born in the Church and did things in the Church but I lacked a personal relationship with God. My Friends were in agreement that we would seek God with all our heart according to his instructions and if we didn't find him we would leave without regret.

  • and as soon as he stopped talking i was completley back to normal after that. it was quite something

  • @pyrofreak8 that is interesting indeed pyro i must say i might believe also if god talked to me. I wonder why he dosnt talk to more people?

  • well he actually talks to alot of people threw other means you jsut have to be listening, but i think he talked to me in a litteral way because he has a big plan for me, i just do not know what, i do live in a town where im the only young christian, well there are others but they are either profound or confused on certain things. and there are alot of drugs in this town, anyways i have know idea...

  • ...but God wants people to choose to love him thats probally another reason why he doesnt talk to alot of people litteraly. but he still does. God is all knowing and knows whats best so we just have to trust him

  • 67% of the world looks at your god in the same way you look at other gods. He wants us to believe that is clear because if you dont you burn forever seems like a god that wanted people to believe that badly would maybe give some evidence he exists. 67% of the world thinks your god isnt real. if he cares so much that we believe where is the evidence? If god has spoken why is man not convinced? There are people who claim allah has talked to them. From my vantage point both gods seem equally fales

  • actually no, no they dont, there are som many false beleifs and false doctrines and false prophets and many many profound christians, yes they all look at God and say, lets beleive in him and follow his law so we wont die, but they have a wrong mindset on God. and when it says that the unrighteous will burn forever and ever is well they dont actually burn forever and ever. examplem if your standing in a line and u say man this is taking forever but it really only takes 15 minutes

  • there is a verse in the bible that says, jonah was in the whale for ever and ever but he was only in it 3 days. and ONLY the righteous get everlasting life(so if u burn litterally for ever than that contradicts itself, so pretty much u just burn untill u die but God will keep certain people alive longer. the least wicked will burn the quickest and the most will burn the longest. and like i said, we have to have faith that he exists we need to choose to love him

  • a fake robotic will never love a human but a real dog can. same with humans and God. he gives evidence to prove evolution but satan has a strong counterfeit, and there are other evidences if u really look. and all we have to do is say ok God i realize that u exist and im gonna follow you and im gonna love u because u loved me first. and remeber satan wants to deceive all so he will maniefest himself or have fallen angels pretend to b as allah and talk to people, or aleins, or ghosts or whatever

  • but satan is a defeated foe and God will prevail. it says in the bible that the word(bible is truth) so if there is any thing that goes contrary to the bible than its false but if follows it than its correct. God says this.

  • well one day, God talked to me, i litteraly heard his voice, he simply put me in a daze, i seen this bright light and he said "Colten, this is God, do not be afraid...What are you doing?' and the way he said it, was like he was saying colten what are u doing to yourself, u know ita wrong but u continue to do it...why? that was the second last time i did drugs. and the drugs was not the one talking to me, u would of had to expereince it for yourself to fully understand

  • I've attended 2009 unashamed and I've been greatly blessed. I love God and because of that Love I will shine for him. God Loves you my brothers and sisters and through Christ's strength so will I.

  • this is the study i was referring to

The Study of the Therapeutic Effects of Intercessory Prayer (STEP)

people who knew they were being prayed for had more problems .... imagine that

  • PyroFreak God Bless you and Mr. Cosmic I'll be praying the God would show you the validity of the scriptures and that he would lead you and guide you in the new year. What's your name I'd love to put you on my prayer list.

  • @Mark797 hey mark thanks a lot for your love/thoughts. why is it that you believe ? pyro heard a voice surly that's an oddity though. i don't believe in prayer so please don't pray for me. Studies have been done on prayer and have shown it is 100% useless. (you can google that is you want)

  • Studies have shown the opposite also. Just as political parties have statistics that are convenient to their views, Still opposing ideas don't change the Truth. Nevertheless I have responded to your question and I have TheCosmicExtian on my prayer list and you decide if prayer works or not. My name is Mark McDonald by the way. Feel free to hit me up on Facebook if you feel so moved. III John 1:2 to you in 2010 with all sincerity.

  • I don't think studies have show prayer affective to any statistically significant level. studies have gone both ways but if you understand probibility this is bound to happen. for example if you flip a coin 50 times its unlikely 25 and 25 .... one side will have more........ but if prayer worked i would think studies would show that in a meaningful way.... you are a very nice guy ill send you a message about the facebook thing

  • amen brother

  • that doesn't sound so bad then. I would honestly rather burn 15mins than spend forever worshiping god. You turn to the bible for truth and i think compared to other faiths your doing a simi good job of reading it. although you don't stone kids for back talking parents so you still only follow the bits you like ... Also how do you know your bible is true? is it not possible someone made it up? like all the other holy books. whats the difference?

  • and keep in mind it might not be 15 min, it might be 5 years, who knows, only God does. another thign, it wont be a bad thing to go to heaven, there will be tons of stuff to do, we will never run out of things and never be bored

  • , and God is a God of love, if u truley know what Gods love really is, and i can say that u dont because u havent really expereinced it, most havent. then it will never be a bad place to be, but thats why the unrigthous will burn and vanish, its actually a favor of God, if a human rejects Gods love he wont be happy in heaven when Gods love is surrounding him.

  • well to me, finding the sights of noahs arc, sodom and gomorah, red sea crossing, mt sinai, and the arc of the covenant is proof enough that the bible does exist, and there is lots of evidence that God exists, so if God exists and the bible is true than that means one thing and i think u know what that is

  • all the places talked about in the koran also exist. archeology has show most bible stories to be historicly inaccurate.even if they are historicly accurate as you say that only proves the people who wrote them lived in the times.. For example if i saw a volcano today and i wrote a crazy story involving the volcano. 2000 years from now they would beleve any thing i wrote? just becase i got the volcano part right? If a Muslim showed you the kind of evidence ur talking about you would laugh.

  • Muslims also beleive in Jesus, they just dont think that he is God. alot of religions have truth in them just not all truth. and it depends on what evidence they would show me, and i would not laugh, if they were wrong i would just tell them otherwise and point out truth to them, wether the accept it or not, thats there problem

  • i know how you feel pyro. I just think they feel the same about your religion. Also as someone who dosnt believe in any god, i silly all religions as silly the way you might see Hinduism. As far as Truth goes the bible seems to be just as full of false stuff as all the rest. one example the age of the earth is not 6000 years...... Thanx for the conversation pyro we will agree to disagree .....Your a nice guy

  • well ive seen scientists that proove that the earth is roughly 6000 years, theres alwasy to sides of the story. and yes i must admit aswell you are a nice guy aswell(unless your a female) because i know alot of people would of just gotten in an angry argument but u never and i respect that. anyways. i will still pray for you wether u beleive in God or not.... have a gooder!

  • Thanks pyro

    best wishes

  • @TheCosmicExtian Good to see someone who is delighted to have conversation. I was a SDA growing up, and A kabbalist Christian now. The only people teaching that the world is 6000 years old is mainly the protestants. If you look at the Hebrew and the fine writing of the Hebrew Bible, then you will find the first chapter of the creation story., is not physical but the spiritual/metaphoric. Thats how it was originally taught in ancient days. Basically the time in Genisis was not to be sought.

  • @TheCosmicExtian Continued....As the time between the first chapter of creation, and the second chapter with Eden and Adam and Eve. Are separate events. There is no correlation between the two chapters as far as age of the world is concerned. The first chapter is something that was beyond our concept, and defines the initial thought process of making the ingredients for the earth, and universe. Separate from the Divine intervention story of the second chapter. Most protestants don't see.

  • I Corinthians 1:18 For the PREACHING OF THE CROSS is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

  • cult....

  • i dont think so buddy!!!

  • all religions are cults

people blindly following which ever one they are born into. SAD

  • are u really gonna tell me that, when I was never born into a religion, and if religion is a cult than the bible is false, but there is lots of evidence that the bible is true. its true that there are false religions, like the roman catholic church, and the churches that bow donw to them, not saying they dont have any of God's people. but if a denomination follows the bible 100% that would make it the remnant church, aka SDA, also dont judge a church by the bad apples in it.

  • btw i used to smoke, drink, do drugs, and many ohter things, i was involved in occult stuff aswell, so dont tell that i dont know what im talking about, alot of people who do choose to follow Christ werent born into particular religion anyways, and i know a few personally who were born into one church, but after truley studying they realize that in that church there was false doctrine, so they left.

  • pyro, sure some will leave one religion for another, this is the exception. the rule is what ever you are born into. you say "there is lots of evidence that the bible is true" when for hundreds of years academics and historians have KNOWN the bible is false. the tower of babel story alone to anyone with knowledge of historical linguistics is monumentally preposterous. Also im curious how did you come to believe this stuff if you were not born into it?

  • well i beg to differ, they have evidence of the sites of sodom and gomorah, noahs ark, the red sea crossing, mt sinai, and the arc of the covenant, u probally think thats its tottal nonsence but untill u actually see it you cant really say anything. and well, i came to know threw a few weird expereinces, possession of the devil for about 15 min, that was pretty intense, losing my lisence due to drinking,

  • a few other more personall things, but after realizing that there is God, which actually i guess i always beleived i just never said i did and that goes with everyone, if u notice how atheists or agnostics when they almost die they are always saying, "God plzz help i dont wanna die" so after i did decide to quit drugs and other things well it was a really big struggle and i always new that i shoudlnt be doing it but i still did and i always thought of God when i did do it, well one day...
