The problem with this movie was that it had a female as a director....Its like asking a women to schedule a boys bachelor rode trip....It was just too unmacho for a bachelor party movie....there were some moments of true magic undoubtedly...the deep sea diving scene, farhans poetry, naseeruddin shahs side story.....but overall the movie didnt quite work for me, the way say a DCH did, it just gelled together much better.....ZNMD was good, it could have been great.
This was one well made film. excellent cinematography, good acting that actually felt real. Remember all you guys fighting saying that this film can never compare to the old films, times change society changes and moves foward. As far as the This story was well thought out and it showed that a commercial film can also be good on several levels. Technically this miles ahead of most bollywood productions and why shouldn't it be?

Totally agreed with you, this has to resemblance to large population of India, but art has no boundaries i.e. the artist has freedom to express themselves that they want but begin a critic I have to say most of the movies in India with the exception of a few are shameless copied from some other Hollywood movies. Yes Indian movies lags ORIGINALITY, I guess the system of rote learning has its influence on these movies.

The movie is NOT about spoiled brats, nothing remotely similar to it. Imraan is from an upper-middle class family, Arjun and Kabir are rich, obviously. Besides what's all this shitty stereotyping about "rich spoiled brats"? Who cares, really? The movie has NOTHING to do with them being rich. It's a journey where they confront their own fears and conquer it. The ending is not about being all happy, but it's all about they learn to be content with it.
kat's one of the best performance <3 she wasn't just playing a typical love interest. she played a role of a diver chick ....and showed her acting capapbilities <3

The movie is realistic for the most parts, genuinely funny without trying hard, and with characters which has depth and are subtle. Basically this movie was more about confronting your fears... After watchin this ...all three of us friends decided to confront our fears..mine was to propose a girl..and I did it :) yessssss Still waiting for her reply..but I dun care ...I had to 'let it go'.. so people watch it for its really inspiring.

The movie is NOT about spoiled brats, nothing remotely similar to it. Imraan is from an upper-middle class family, Arjun and Kabir are rich, obviously. Besides what's all this shitty stereotyping about "rich spoiled brats"? Who cares, really? The movie has NOTHING to do with them being rich. It's a journey where they confront their own fears and conquer it. The ending is not about being all happy, but it's all about they learn to be content with it.

As far as the similarities with Wild Hogs goes, if DCH is similar to St. Elmos Fire, then this is too. Every movie is bound to have some similarities, but this a copy is just naive.

I hated this movie before I watched it, cause the trailer made it seem like it's these 3 guys who get drunk at the bachelor party. and i was like, ha wow, copied hangover much?
BUT WOW, THIS TRAILER DOESN'T DO THE MOVIE JUSTICE AT ALL.
it's completely different, i was a spiritual person. but this made my fears go away.
i love this movie so much.
And if children watch this, their life will change in the best way possible.

I would not go as far as to call the movie as dumb but it was surely unrealistic. The soundtrack was good and so was the acting, but the script was really crappy.How many in the country have millions to spend on a single trip. Oh and yes, the language used by the 'friends' in this movie is pretty gay, if you're a man you'll notice it, if not- you'll enjoy it.

@krazzykta I've seen this movie 4 times from theaters. And I can say with confidence that what you said is absolute nonsense. The movie is realistic for the most parts, genuinely funny without trying hard, and with characters which has depth and are subtle. In a way, it's the first movie of it's kind (which is somewhat along the lines of sideways imo) which builds at its own pace and doesn't insult our intelligence. Loved it. If it's not your kind of movie, fine, but don't go on to call it trash
