  • is that the guy from top gear?

  • You can try it in someone else's house.

  • Steel Ballz.

  • top gear lol

  • The sound and the video lags

  • IM FUCKING DOING IT! :D

  • wow o.o

  • on "is it a good idea to microwave this" they put worse thing in a microwave with lesser effect, I think this was ramped up for effect

  • @atomicnortherner Or, they "ramp down" the effect on "It it a good idea to microwave this?"... seems more likely, because Braniac is a Scientific Show

  • @jleer1 only about six things exploded the microwave in "is it a good idea to microwave this" the only thing that was major was a car airbag, something with enough compacted energy for the type of destruction, but this looks fake.... I am starting to sound like I care lol! I suggest we all watch is it a good idea to microwave this insted!

  • @atomicnortherner I used to from the beginning to the end, but they've stopped making that show now.

  • im confuse, so we're supposed to try this at home?

  • 1:06 fuck that

  • did the sound desync or was it just a crap voice-over?

  • sound laaaaag

  • i will try this at home :D

  • @magixeleven DONT!! pls

  • do not try this at home, try this at your friends home lol

  • this vid i sa total fake

  • @jamestraver13 Brainiac is a total fake, but it was fucking good anyway.

  • @jamestraver13 i agree with you ;)

  • wtf how?

  • Reminds me of the time I microwaved dinner with the knife and fork still on the plate... hehe

  • @MarioGamer200 thats why you shouldnt reheat meals :D

  • *puts newtons cradle in microwave* wait....... what.....nnnnnoo.. (BOOM)

  • if you microwave metal it will just spark blue and red

  • @TheWafflesMaster apart from big magnetic moving balls :P

  • y did g4 get rid of this

  • 134 people tried this at home.

    And failed.

  • 134 people tried this at home.

  • The reason you don't put metal in a microwave is because the microwaves cause strong electric currents in the metal, and if the metal can't take it, it catches fire. But only thin metal catches fire. Thick metal can take the currents, and will not catch fire.

And also, if they want us to believe this, they should have less editing and more raw footage, like on _Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?_

  • im gonna go ahed and call FAKE AND GAY

  • @TheCpplayer Have you ever seen Is It a Good Idea to Microwave this?

this is total BS just like the box of wine

    And i just quoted Raywillamjohnson.

    ass

  • @thedarknesslord666 You might want to see 'test666bgfrd' 's comment 7 months ago.

  • fine im trying this at work

  • @GameAaron lol

  • i am so trying this at home!

  • Lol my video paused to render when he said "stop"

  • It would not go bang like that...

I think I will show you what happends in real life.

  • will it work with mirrors?

  • I still want to do the soap...that was the coolest thing I've ever seen but I've never been allowed. :(

  • @icekat83 Dammit....this is the third comment I lost because of those darn "please verify you are not a machine" boxes. I'm logged in darn-it...how much less of a computer can I be!?!?!?

  • that music was hilarious, anyone know what it is?

  • @THECHACASAURUS `jerry lee lewis great ball of fire, it's a classic :)

  • @noclones thanks a lot dude :)

  • its always funny how the guy who puts the stuff in the microwave always spoils the result xD if he runs its going to explode, if he walks something else will happen

  • 200 people tried this at home

  • Fake. How many people have accidently left a piece of metal (be it a utensil, piece of foil, or maybe a gold leafed plate) in a microwave before? If a piece of metal were to cause a microwave to explode you'd hear stories about this all the time. It also won't damage the Microwave. Here's an experiment: Take a FLAT piece of aluminum foil and place it in the bottom of the microwave and turn it on. What happens? Nothing. Put a slice of pizza on it and you cook the bottom of it.

  • @GIRlovesWaffles Actually I microwaved a mini apple pie once and forgot to take off of the tin cover...our microwave started looking light a lightning storm was inside so I took the cover off once I worked out the cause. LOL.

  • But what about microwaving a microwave, would love to see that

  • For those who wonder why it didn't blow up when they tried it at home, it is because Microwaves have a safety mechanism which turns off the magnetron on overheating. I believe they have disabled this mechanism in the microwave used in this video so that the magnetron keeps going until it explodes.

  • all the retards that said it's fake... GET SOME EDUCATION!!! all u rednecks needs some brain! brainiac's real dumbfucks!!

  • @Br3zizH i just try it at home

    cant blow

  • Not only fake, but also gay.

  • sorry dudes but braniac experiments work 100% its one of the greatest science shows in the world

  • this is so fake

  • i love brainiac keep it up

  • I have tried that at home!

  • its not the balls that explode...its the microwave itself, 0:45

  • You know, I think I'll try this at home just because the faker Brainiac said not to.

  • when JPizzle1122 put a newton's cradle in a microwave it didnt explode

  • Seems they stuck some m80s in the microwave before they turned it on.

  • Hammond is the Host of Brainiac?

  • Wkładając metalowe rzeczy mikrofalówka może wybuchnąć.

I to nie żaden fake - nie znają się a cwaniakują...

  • 99% of all experiment in brainiac are fake!

  • They only say don't try this at home so that people wouldn't find out that they were faking it.

  • Brainiac people should not be playing with explosives

  • FAKE!!!

  • FAKE

  • Brainiac.. Lied to me..?! Damn you Richard Hammond, DAMN YOU TO HEEEELL!

  • lol hammond from top gear

  • wow. jory caron would have a fit if he seen this.

  • @EvilRabbiMAn I think he has. He nuked a newtons cradle in season 6.

  • @the06bug "On Is It a Good Idea to Microwave This" they had a plastic cradle coated with metal and while the micro waves were being reflected, the metal was melting off. The cradle Brainiac used is pure metal.

  • @test666bgfrd Prove it

  • @NinjaFireProductions Prove what exactly? That Brainiac had a steel Newton's Cradle? I think you can see that for yourself. Brainiac is a respected show - I don't think they would even THINK of lying to their audience.

  • @test666bgfrd they never stated that it was pure metal for all we know it could've been silver painted plastic, if you watch "is it a good idea to microwave this" that gives a true insight to what happens when things are microwaved, such as the newtons cradle, a microwave cant explode from the microwaves boucnceing around inside it because microwave ovens are BUILT to resist all microwaves

  • @NinjaFireProductions In "is it a good idea to microwave this" they used a VERY cheap microwave, whereas Brainiac úse quite a strong and good one. And they didn't use a Newton's Cradle form a dollar store. So not only are the microwaves the cradle is bombarded with stronger, but the cradleitself reflects them more.

  • @test666bgfrd considering braniac is a British show i doubt they could've even found a dollar store, what more is that I have tried this myself recently with a 900 MW microwave and and both types of newtons cradle (plastic and metal) the results i got were almost identical to Is it a good idea to microwave this Apart from the Pure metal one having next to no damage to it

  • @test666bgfrd Trust me they do lie to their audience.

This isnt the only thing that is fake. for example their alkali metal explosions are also fake.

  • @test666bgfrd it will spark but never blows

  • @test666bgfrd Nowhere in this video do the claim that their Newton's cradle is all metal. It's also Obvious that the strings at least are not metal.

  • totaly fake!

  • ill try this with my balls

  • @YaYCell43 haha

  • fake!!!

  • real!!!

  • @djmaxion this is not fake but what is fake is ur moms tits bitch!

  • @BeNNyBoYe13 this is actually fake type in is it a good idea to microwave this its a youtube show they prove this to be fake

  • Yea I'm gonna try this....... at school lmao!

  • the gut whos narrating is on top gear

  • @billybrowning25 no shit sher-loch

  • @darkdom6 was that really necessary?

  • Fake, just watch Is it a good idea to microwave this

  • Depends on the power of the microwave.

  • funny!

  • fake

  • Oh phew. Now I can finally stop wondering about what'll happen if I put a newton's cradle in a microwave. The more you know!

  • This guy below me is such a fucking dumbass

  • i tried this at home but nothing happens :x

  • Holy crap is this really 505 comments worth of people complaining about a kids show using pyrotechnics to make science a little more interesting?

  • this vid is bullshit... there's no way in hell that a magnetron would explode like that, it would just stop working

  • @howe094 theres no way in hell, but theres a way that magnetron would explode on earth :)

  • @howe094 maybe you are right but Brainiac its still the best science show over Great Britain!

  • I'm off to purchase a used microwave...

  • i try it almost burn down my home

  • are ya facking crazy!? this is facking dangerus!!!!

  • I'm gonna go try this at home

  • Wow I'm speachless to think this program would lie to this degree.

And I have to laugh at all the people who are defending this, come on really the nylon strings don't even melt.

  • so fake but so fun

  • they did microwave a crab and it blew the hell out of the microwave. tried it myself....BANG went mine. and it was no where 2 be find

  • it doesn't work that way... watch the Jpizzle's video about this."

  • why does everyone think its fake lol why dont you go and try it and blow a hole in your wall

  • FAKE

  • i dont know whether it is fake or not..but perhaps because most of the experiment they set the temperature of the microwave to the max..i watch jripple "is it a good idea to microwave this" too..its cool..but i dont kno whether jripple set the temperature too because they prefer to use time set..either way both braniac and jripple are cool..especially when something blows up..i like it

  • how is it fake becouse u read on the internet well then your just gullable u assholes

  • @jimbobjones22

Not a single arc. That is how you know its fake.

  • Its too bad its fake, I used to think most of the things the brainiac showed was real, and doing something like this just takes away my trust...

But maybe its like a American movie car, packed with explosives.

  • fake, but still very entertaining lol

  • Complete fake. Watch Jpizzle's REAL video

  • FAAKEE

  • all of braniac is BS

  • its fake. i was going to say it could be the capacitor but its neer the controls and upon close inspection the control part does not bend out.

  • It's fake. They don't explode.

  • @KILLERxKNIGHT1 secretly put some c4 at the back of the microwave :3

  • @KILLERxKNIGHT1 they do when you when you rig the microwave with explosives.

    :P

  • @KILLERxKNIGHT1 no one said THEY explode...

  • @TheNl1nk I hear that now, but it still doesn't make the Magnetron explode. It would just fry it if it did anything.

  • @KILLERxKNIGHT1 haha it does explode, try it yourself before making a false comment

  • @BoomzNshhh Have you done it? You can put any type of metal in a microwave and it won't make it explode.

  • @KILLERxKNIGHT1 well it didnt explode quite like in the brainiac vid but there was some combustion, maybe its a different alloy or another variable that i didnt have control over...

  • FIX THE AUDIO/VIDEO SYNC!

  • That must be one expensive microwave...

  • Isnt that Richard Hammond from Top Gear?!

  • @shakaydi yup

  • yh he does lodes ov shows

  • that didnt happen when ideo productions did it

  • its fake i've tried it... the supports melt and spark a little the balls fall off... thats all its fun for a second but then it stops sparking and its just boring... of course it doesn't explode...

  • sooo..don't try this at home!! :))

  • lol i swae i was going to put these balls in the microwave lol im lucky

  • fake Jpizzle1122 put it in the microwave and it didnt blow up.

  • @MrJohn404 perhaps his wasnt metal...

  • @MrJohn404 Different microwaves work in different ways....

  • @MrJohn404 jpizzle 1122's newton's cradle was plastic it melted, this one was metal, but I agree with you the video is fake, becase metal in a microwave will not cause that big of a blast.

  • @MrJohn404 "do not try this at home"

  • @MrJohn404 It's because your cradle was not made of steel. I tried with one made of hard plastic and it didn't explode. But when I tried with one made of 100% steel, it exploded, badly.

  • @kicktolive im not JPIZZLE1122 and theres was steel

  • @MrJohn404 "Don't try this at home" doesn't mean anything to you does it? :P

  • @CountBleck00 okay retard where did i say I tried this and Jpizzle has been doing this for years on youtube THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS! Oh and does 8 months ago doesn't mean anything to you does it.

  • @CountBleck00 you can place an old microwave outside and stand some feet away

  • O_O ill be sure not to put any metal in the microwave now.

  • You can put metal in microwave. For example spoon in glass full of water. Spoon is going to act as antenna and no sparking. This you can try at home. I have do it all time.

  • my reaction:

ok he put a newtons cradle into the microwave, isnt it just going to make sparks jump from ball to ball while they- WTF HOLY SHIT!!!

  • Increased wattage on a microwave could cause the same effect. I highly doubt this is a standard home microwave. It's likely a hi-watt, industrial microwave.

  • why do u think this is fake

  • Other people on Youtube have tried it, and all that happened were a few sparks.

  • Hey Brainiac, you're lying. All that happens is a few seconds of sparks. So contrary to what they're saying, you can try this at home. But as Jory says it takes something cool and makes it uncool.

  • brainiac microwaved a bomb AND a newtons cradle

  • you Fail

  • This is a faaaaaaaake

  • The ending is fake check out jpizzle ' s vid/......

  • lol xD

Eso me paso cuando deje el tenedor dentro del microondas :L

  • ahhhh i was getting ready to do this

  • They did this on "Is it a good idea to microwave this?", no explosion.

  • yeah i second that
