NFS started going downhill after NFS:U2

That one i could play for hours and have fun.. carbon was okay but its not really street racing which is why nfs was a good game over the other games

what's the point? street racing is what nfs had going for them, but now they're trying to compete with forza 3 and are gonna completely fail coz forza 3 is probably the best racing game ever. at least if nfs was different then i would consider getting it.

jorj360 I realy be to differ, indeed Forza 3 is a better game and graphics are sencerely better although it can barely fit a computer that is normal and also need for speed is cheaper, it's also a matter of taste, I actualy like Grand Tourismo alot though NFS has always been a fun and diffrent game expirience

i know it's essentially a matter of taste, but with this game nfs have tried to go for the realistic track-racing approach, which generally doesnt appeal to nfs fans, who expect the crazy, yet fun street racing. i have both games (my brother wanted this for whatever reason) and i probably have a better judgement than you, so ner! =P

btw, they cost the same (on the xbox).

The detail, lighting effects etc. on the actual tracks/backgrounds on NFS Shift is BY FAR the best of any race game I've seen so far. Even GT5's tracks look very artificial compared!

I've been around tracks like Spa, Nordschleife, Brands Hatch and Silverstone many a time for real and I was blown away how well they've been captured in Shift.

However, the detail on the cars, in car views, physics etc. are just nothing like what Forza & GT have between them.

One day we'll have it all!

I think some of you are talking out of your ass... This is a different style of game to GT and Forza. It's branded under the NFS brand so you can't compare it to the other NFS games. I've played it and I think it's decent. If you've got a problem with playing other racing games other than GT and Forza, don't play them as it'll save you the attitude problem....

NFS was a simulation, now it's crap, the car just doesn't respond well to commands, there's a lagg of aboout 300 - 400 ms and in corners that means the difference between making it and going of the road. Last NFS game I really liked was Most Wanted, the cars just responded well.

This is a good looking sim, I don't recall any of the Gran Turismo games having a drivers view like this.

And also 30gb is fine for windows, as i run my games and programs off a RAID 0 setup, which is fine, until i RAID 2x more 30gb SSD.

And the reason i went for an SSD is to reduce time for windows to work.
