  • Dileesa, you totally ROCK!! I can see so much fulfilment in your eyes while you're teaching which is evidence that you're clearly walking in God's purpose for your life. Thanks for being a blessing! Your fanbase within the London Community Gospel Choir is growing. Keep the flag flying. God bless you real good! Xoxo

  • @GodwinACreations I really appreciate that. Hopefully, we can all meet and praise God together....God bless you all!

  • Dileesa, what about singing vibrato in a legato phrase where you have to move the vibrato over an elongated melody with difficult intervals. You know like leaping from middle C to F or G above middle C. It almost seems impossible to move the vibrato up between tough intervals like that with me doing some shouting on my top notes. How do I sing operatic like that and lift the vibrato effortlessly while doing difficult leaps and jumps?

  • I really appreciate this video, thank you so much! I've been trying to obtain vibrato in my voice and all the options out there either require your credit card, or just aren't legit at all. Thank you very much. :-) I still struggle, however. I think I'm too tense or something. When I run out of air in the first excersize, my chest just completely tightens up and makes it hard for me to freely sing vibrato. (I've always been a restless breather.) I hope to use these excersizes and improve!

  • @lunaraquaify I'm glad the videos helped. Thanks for watching.

  • Love it

  • @Pure80sbaby Thank you so much!

  • Question I want a vibrato like this group named the walls group or kids. There's a video named Now let me fly. I love all of there voices. But I would love to have vibrato and runs like the guy in the red shirt. Can u do a video explaining how to do that please. Thanks.

  • Hi

I've just been watching your video, and it' great!

I have been having some trouble with my Vibrato. You see, with the singing course I downloaded, I am on a vibrato techinique, but although I can get my Vibrato going when I'm singing, when I try to go through the scales with it, I tense up and the vibrato doesn't come, especially on the high notes.

Have you got any advice please?

    Thank you

    Karena.

  • The arm-fall and wall-fall thing didn't work for me at all... and the running-out-of-breath thing just produced a jittery sound like I was choking (because I was... lol). How do you sing "like your tongue is heavy?" Do you just stick your tongue to the bottom of your mouth? (Not trying to be snarky or anything; just curious. I've been trying to learn vibrato for a really long time...)

  • i don't how you're supposed to put your tongue in the heavy tongue exercise. can anyone please help me?

  • This young lady clearly knows what she's doing, and has mastered her craft. She gets more page views (on average) than Seth Riggs protege, Brett Manning, and he's got big corporate money backing him.

Thank you for your meaningful videos.

  • @Visionary0001 That means so much. Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate you supporting the videos.

  • @LiaJunis Glad to hear. You should sign up for lessons on the website.

  • Obama's Muslim first cousin is now Prime Minister of Kenya and murdered 1000 Christians to force his way into being appointed to that position. The Friends of Obama supported his rise to power with $800K to $900K in funds. The end time is here and the anti-Christ system is going on in the world now. It would take me a life time to develop my singing voice and I do not have that kind of time left. It was a good idea to get vocal lessons but way too late. Obey Acts 2:38 before it is too late.

  • @TheRedStarburst Anyone can learn vibrato.

  • What a beautiful smile!

  • @ski2thelimit Thank you.

  • @Dileesa Sigh... I really wish I could pay that lol... I'm really sorry >_<

  • +Very helpful and encouraging. Like that you don't use the lesson to sing and show off like others seem to do. Plus you actually had tips. Others just want to explain what vibrato sounds like. I think we already know that. Thanks again.

  • @Kirkunik1 You're welcome.

  • This was awesome!

  • @treebee69 Thank you.

  • Thank you ever so much for the tip. I've been doing a vibrato exercise for 8, yes, 8 months to no avail. I tried doing your the first exercise you recommended where you hold a note till you're about to pass out and it started to work. Today my vibrato is working. I didn't realize that my throat needed to be more relaxed.

  • @danhworth100 You're welcome.

I never tried to make vibrato because I want to learn it the right way but I still dont know how to use vibrato when I hit a note. I feel the vibrato when my voice begins to die. I'm from Chicago and the only young man in my fam who can sing, this is a good video and it helped me a lot so can you please let me know what I'm doing wrong and what I got to do to sing with vibrato without my voice dying so quickly??

  • Thank really helped and your hot

  • Great job i love it!!!!!!!!!

  • sould i olways sing whit my vibrato?

  • @lulademitro when you sing you should always have movement whiter its a little or a lot. Even in classical choirs there is a little movement. There should never be just str8 tone.

  • hi! that's awesome! if i try these exercises every day, will my vibrato come out more naturaly?

  • Hi! Have a lot of respect for your gift and skill! Question, If a person does not sing (riffs or know how to trill) how can they teach themselves to do so?

And have your recorded by any means a complete vocal lesson or excercise for daily use?

  • Hi! Have a lot of respect for your gift and skill! Question, If a person does not sing (riffs or know how to trill) how can they teach themselves to do so?

  • Oiee tenes una bonita voz....Excelente!!!!!

  • u give very good advice i relly appreciate it,i have a strong voice but sometimes dont know what 2 do with it...i need help...lol

  • the heavy tongue one works the best for me!!! Thanks so much for shaing this.

  • DAMN, their goes my speakers...

  • 2:13 anyone else hear "la la la la la la la la" ? that was AWESOME

  • @chrisot123 didnt hear it first but after reading your comment i did :D

  • Thanks for doing this!

  • Wow!!

  • that´s not vibrato that´s pure diafragma.and nothing "natural" anyway ,bc as you run out of air I can hear you forcing it right out of your mouth..

  • why is it that the arm dropping/falling onto sth doesnt work for me and it does to most of them? the heavy toungue was great though.. but my vibrato wasnt so clear.

  • Yeah. Black people are the best but I'm white -.-

  • This person is a Genius.

What a tutorial and a half.

    Unbelievable.

  • Good video, thanks, Dileesa, i have a question..... i had heard that for example Ella Fitzgerald or Christina Aguilera, etc..sings some minor, major, blues and jazz scales from a high note to a low note or backwards......like a vocal ladder(adlib), can you make a video to understand that kind of vocal excercises or scales?, ¿how do you work your musical ear and voice for that? thanks! greetings from México. :)

  • ALL of these techniques helped tremendously, thank you so much. The falling and arm ones were the best for me for finding my vibrato. The heavy tongue method is great too, but the other two were easiest for me. :)

  • WHY IS YOUR AD LIB VIDEO NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE I JUST SAW IT THE OTHER DAY PUT IT BACK UP I WAS PRACTICING NOT FAIR

  • I can't believe you're not making any more vids on youtube - that's so sad(for me, not you off course)! :-(

Anyway, good luck with your tutoring, I really hope it works out for you, cus you're an amazing singer, and i am so thankfull for all the videos you made, and all the stuff you tought me :-)

  • Ok so I'm self taught in every musical instrument I play and i've always just found my own way to make it work but singing has been different. I can make a slow vibrato but I can't achieve a fast vibrato like Elvis Presley or Toby Kieth. Can I achieve or work and practice to get it? Help please!!!

  • That technique you used in the beginning of the video worked for my other two vocalist in my group, but for whatever reason, my voice began to sound as though it was straining, and began to make a noise that shot clear out of my throat that sounded very similar to "respiratory upset"... Why is that? - Dee Dee

  • @ddremixxsoul that 1st technique will work better with more lyric voice types. In other words, a voice that has a brighter tone, a light voice or a flexible voice that can get soft/bright in tone easily. When such people are hold a note for long, the voice naturally shifts into a vibrato to go into "overtime", but if you have a very "chesty" voice, it may not work... instead your voice will tend to cut off sooner or will require strain to go longer :). Read my comment below.

  • omg! I have no vibrato!! so you mean all this time i was faking it? danggit!!!

  • i tried all of these and i had the vibrato i think ... but then it just left i can hold the note AND the vibrato how do u do that???

  • but u already have it.. how do i start using it.? how is it even done.? .. how do u make up a vibrato.???????

  • but u already have it.. how do i start using it.? how is it even done.?

  • I'M MAD IT'S NOT WORKING FOR ME THAT WELL, I have to make fake one's and they dont sound so great, making a fake vibrato for me makes me loose the note, but I just have trouble with hearing a vibrato come out of my voice...very frustrating lol...

  • @PoeticRaven14 your vibrato lies in-between your mixed/upper/brighter voice and your stronger, withdrawn voice. It's like the voice is torn between going into that bright tone or staying regular-hard and so it vibrates between the two lol. To get your vibrato, hold the note, project your voice forward, and try shifting into your mixed/brighter/softer tone BUT without turning down your volume... in fact you might need to get louder. God bless.

  • Thanks fir the tips! Off to a good start ;D

  • What if you hold the note forever and you don't really run out of breath?! LOL! I just held a note in a normal tone and my note went for over 45 seconds... i started to feel my breathe running out and felt the vibrato coming out but then its lie my voice just got very faint until it went out. :-(

  • ahhh i had to watch this video wearing sunglasses because of your teeth :D

  • WOW thanks so much for this video!

  • Not bad, I think this could help.

  • this helped A LOT

  • U look good...u look kinda like kelly rowland a lil bit...

  • U look good...u look kinda like kelly rowland a lil bit...

  • Thanks a lot

  • I got it! thanks a lot.. I pulled it off (with the heavy tongue technique).. I saw your vid a couple of times some weeks ago.. but I did the techniques wrong. today I saw it again and I got it ! yay.. I'm starting to sing.. I'm not very good yet. but thank you.. by the way ur very pretty ;) . and you've got a really good instrument.. it's like breathing for you xD

  • i want to be one of your students very bad

  • @Dileesa

When we do the fall against the wall or you drop your arm... how can you take that natural vibrato and adding it to your vocal vocabulary? I feel so good when I do that vibrato and I hate if I have to make up a vibrato. But when I found my natural vibrato- I want to use it with my singing. Thanks!

  • omg your so pretty and you can sing to!?!? wow your awesome!

  • thank you! for taking the time to post this helpful tips!

    your voice is beautiful!
