It is a great film and should be seen by everyone! Also, USA Today has had articles regarding autism. One of the articles is very interesting. According to USA Today, there has been research which has found a high incidence of autism in families that also have a history of autoimmune disorders.

Sure...raising a child with autism is hard...just ask my mom. But I HATE how people tend to label autism as a "devastating disease", or something deathly terrible. It's just a rewiring of how the brain works.

I agree with this girl! I call it Vaccinosis I only give my puppy 2 puppy shots and rabies shot after teething. even the vet recommend 5 puppy shot and rabies shot at 4 month

back in the old days ppl didnt know, or cared about autism. Later this became a hot topic. This has nothing to do with vactionation what so ever. This is also the same with ADHD and dyslextia. People now a days test for this. Earlier in the history we did not know or care about. Point made.

ok, i'm sorry but this is so retarded. i admire jenny mccarthy's fight for the cause and i sympathize with autistic kids and their parents, but jenny really, really needs to get some scientific background on the disorder. first of all, anyone with even a tiny bit of scientific knowledge know that's anecdotal information does NOT qualify as scientific evidence. something needs to proved through the scientific method through clinical trials for it to be considered scientific evidence....continued.

anecdotal information "a usually short narrative of an interesting, amusing, or biographical incident." i highly doubt this is concrete scientific evidence. also, if watch her argument points...she sounds so uneducated on the topic. the stuff she points out is stuff that you and i or any member of the lay public could google and spit right out. she reallly, reallly needs to leave it up to the medical progessionals....

The controversy of whether vaccines cause autism has been around for a very long time. It is a failure of the medical establishment, the CDC and the pharmaceutical companies to clearly and convincingly describe to the public exactly how vaccines do not cause autism. The inability, or reluctance, to educate the patient, in this case, the parents, as to precisely how they have nothing to fear with vaccination, is probably the heart of this controversy.

There are a lot of families that have evidence that there children became autistic immediately after vaccination. The Poling family settled a case out of court that clearly indicated that vaccines have caused autism. But the judge was very careful in explaining that it was only responsible in this particular case. And this is also a clear indication of all of the fears regarding liability in this case. While it may be true that childhood vaccination may save lives, it comes a cost.

I read while back that they found large amounts of lead in one of the vaccines so instead of destroying the meds we sold them overseas, and since then, countries like China, Japan, have had a huge jump in the number of Autistic children in that country the drugs were sold to. They have proof by showing how few if any of the children had the problem, till after they were given the drugs from us that were to be destroyed. My Youngest is Autistic and fear this is the reason why.

A relatively small percentage of children who are getting vaccinated will become autistic. Exactly why they are becoming autistic is being clouded by those parties who have the most to loose as a result of legal liability. These autistic children are the collateral damage that is the result of vaccination. As cruel as this fact is, it is the reason that the experts, that is, the doctors and the CDC, do not really want to cast any doubt on the safety of the vaccination program.

In their purely scientific reasoning, it would be better to ignore the relationship between vaccinations and autism, than to frighten all the parents in the country who might then not get their children vaccinated. These same experts believe that it is far less worse for the population to suffer a few autistic children than to risk an outbreak of epidemics that they say would cause a huge number of deaths.

But when you are the parent of an autistic child, when you are the one parent in one hundred and fifty that has to raise an autistic child, the collateral damage theory is tough to accept. And there is very little money available for the families of autistic children. Most parents whose child are diagnosed with autism, usually divorce.

So before you think all of this talk about the relationship between autism and vaccinations is being fabricated so the parents of autistic children have someone to blame, or their looking for easy money, check out the Poling family. And ask yourself a couple of questions. Such as: Do doctors always tell the truth? And is there such a thing as a medication that doesn't have a side effect?

There has NEVER been a study comparing unvaccinated children with vaccinated children. Epidemiology has limits. The amish aren't the only ones....check out the homefirst kids. Check out the study Jenny's organization did in California. Good for Jenny for standing up and taking the unpopular stance!

Anyone who has any doubt that there is a link between autism and vaccines, should look up the case involving the Pohling family. They took their case to court, and the judge awarded them damages related to their child becoming autistic after being vaccinated.

i just finished a huge report on autism and the connection with vaccines and vaccines are not the cause period there is no more about it start doing research please start with thimerosal which was removed in 2002 and then move to the MMR vaccine which was based off of conflicted intrests stop blaming doctors its not their fault

I know I won't convince you. Epidemiology is my field. Here is the truth: We eat processed foods, smoke, drink, take legal and illegal drugs even during pregnandy, have many sex partners, have children into our 40's and blame vaccines when we have an autistic child. Amish have none of these risk factors. Vaccines are needed when diseased people tightly congregate in cities. If we lived like the Amish, we would have few diseases, would not need vaccines, and would not have autistic babies

i don't think shes saying they bad, i think she is saying some of the ingredience are bad and when she says "mowed over" she's trying to say that babies are receiving to many vaccines at such an early age, which is a factor (not the only factor but one of many) in this autism in children. thats what i got from what she is saying
