This is a great version. The original is one of my favorites, but the cheesy synth keyboard sounds date it badly. This - Pat on guitar and no keyboards ... rocks ...
Just saw PT play this in Col. Ohio at The Bluestone'e New Years Eve show. Great show, Rick Derringer also.First time I saw Pat was in Charleston WV open for ACDC, PT, Pat Thrall, Mars and Tommy Alldridge destroyed the place. That particular line up was, in my opinion, possibly the greatest rock band in the world. Have seen Pat many times over the years and he has yet to dissapoint.
@cptriana Well, now, that would be a copyright infringement, now, wouldn't it? I have exclusive permission for this live material. Now, about sounding much better? Seems you are the only visitor who has issues with the recording quality. Pat and Kirk both were astounded by the audio and video recording quality. Now, you could always be-bop down to your local music store and buy a copy of the original LP, or suffer through thousands upon thousands of other YouTube videos. Good luck! TKTurbo
I remember hearing the live "go for what you know" album for the first time...ranks at the top of live albums ever released (along with UFO strangers in the night)...
Pat had Tommy Aldredge on drums who later went on to play for OZZY and Whitesnake.
GREAT recording. Fantastic job! Pat is a true treasure and so many posts have crap for audio, but any posts of Pat are better than none. A year of studing Travers should be required before any guitarists could post their own stuff on youtube. Thx Pat for keepin on.
He was yesterday in Soest Germany. He play on the 5. Soester Blues Festival. He is a great Guitar player an singer. My favourite songs from Pat is Crash and Burn and Elijah.
Does anyone have "Evie" live?

That bass player is badass.... Kinda cool slower like this. Travers rocks.... and he's a good guy.

Played slower like this adds a whole new feel to it. Really nice. Thanks for the upload.

I forgot what a great musician that Pat Travers is. It stands out because there is such shitty guitar driven music now.
soccerdogg007 2 years ago
Seems the drummer is having meter issues.
Kind of an odd version of this heavily driven keyboard original.
but still pretty cool except the meter issues.
( unless of course it is just me losing my sense of meter)
