My Vitamix Blender will arrive soon and Raw Hummus is a must. I love this video. Thanks so much for taking so much time to break it down and showing us how it's done. Blessings
Cool to see, though I kinda wish it was triple-speed, as long as it was. Interesting recipe - will be trying. Oh, and the lady in purple is quite well-endowed :)
when i did this, on the 2nd to 3rd day, the beans started smelling really bad, they stunk so bad i didnt think they were even good to eat, what did i do wrong? i bought raw garbanzo beans from the health store, maybe i didnt put them on enough of an angle? i have the same jar as you and everything, i have failed twice in doing this, what a waste of beans, maybe you can point me in the right direction, thank in advance
@cintronbrandon hmmm...my first thought would be to make sure the beans are washed very well before hand as the beans contain enzyme blockers. I would also try to rinse the beans in the sprouting jar more often throughout the day to keep them fresh. And make sure the beans are not in direct sunlight when sprouting. While some folks think all this rinsing is a waste of water, it is very important to keep the sprouts very well rinsed or bacterias can form which can cause serious harm.
@amirprog - You could try adding some tahini to the hummus to make it more smooth. I haven't tried that, but if you try it please let me know how it turns out!
@LAdodgersfansowat You gotta wash the beans thoroughly several times for they contain enzyme blockers. They are not good for your stomach and prevent the beans from sprouting...

a texutre of a common hummus is smooth, i'd like sprouted hummus to be also smooth.

Thanks good info but FYI you should work on the video editing more... this video doesn't need to be more then five minutes.
