I don't think it so much the US soldiers (unless severe brainwashing happened in military training, or something) that were policing our country in a state of martial law, as it would be foreign soldiers, or that of the U.N. itself. I think the U.S. soldiers would uphold the constitution more likely, than a bunch of old men with bad reps. Even after the coup, that was obviously a government attack on its own chief body. Taking out the middle man. Obviously a Bush/Cheney tactic.
