Im just going to run megasquirt V2.2 PCBv3 distributerless. Its cheap, has a 2-step, and will run well enough. The car is a straight drag car at this point. It weighs < 1900lbs, has 1 aluminum seat, an aluminum dash that I mad, and a roll cage.

I was running 'custom' software at the time ;) It had a 2-step/launch control built in like evo's do. This would ignore misfire codes since a 2-step really is just controlled misfires with extremely retarded timing. It also read PASS for all the OBD2 emissions despite not having A) o2 sensors at all at the time, B) no AC, C) no cat, D) no evap system, and E) no PCV system.

Read down lower. Was on 1 cylinder :P thats why it sounded like that. Its now back up to 4 cylinders however I'm having software issues with it and am moving to standalone managment to alleviate the problems.

Never on the road. Its a dedicated drag car. First time out is October 8th @ VW Fall Show N Go @ Englishtown NJ. Just doing shakedown runs.

Thats because I later found out it was running on 1 cylinder :o We're up to 4 now and I've driven it around the block a few times with no major malfunctions.
