@Thejigsaw456 Since you posted this a week ago the following comment will, most likely, be irrelevant to you. You should probably be a high-elf if you are going to be a mage because they have +50 magicka which is very useful, especially at higher levels.

the thing is magic is best later on so pick a heavy armor guy then use magic on him so u can survive faec to face combat but at higher lvl ur magic will destroy every one

@joenadeau99 if you choose the right perks and go for all out warrior you can become almost invinsible, mages get good offensive abbilities, but the lack in decent armor bugs me... my warrior character is at level 49 now, and is heavy armor block and one handed, i've yet to meet an enemy that give me trouble, occasionally an overwhelming force of mages can give a hard time, but if you can adapt to the situation you should become practicly invincible

Dark elf and nord are best characters in the game because of their fire/ice resistance. Just because your character starts out with certain traits doesn't mean that's all you can use. I am a high elf with 100 destruction, 72 archery, 59 sneak, 54 one handed, 49 heavy armor, 65 light armor, 100 smithing and 100 enchanting and I'm only level 44. Dark elf and nords resistance to elements helps

A lot. I suggest if you want to be sneaky archer/Mage to start game go dark elf. Heavy armor warrior star

Myself personally I like the imperial because if you use healing and one handed and go heavy armor you are pretty much unstoppable, when you get to 100 with one handed its over for any foes.

@TheoryOfSuicide To be complete honest it doesn't matter. Besides a few little things, although they can be lifesavers. You shouldn't have any trouble being a mage with an Imperial although they don't get The Magika Bonuses like High Elfs, Dark elfs, or Bretons But like I said you shouldn't have a problem if you make sure you're equip with the right things make sure you are wearing good robes and hoods. The starting ones are probably the best all around for a bit. And always keep Magika Potions.

@TheoryOfSuicide Eh, It's basically the starting abilities like Highborn which let's you regenerate Magika faster for a bit, and a slight boost to effectiveness of certain spells. Along with the starting stats being slightly higher is certain places although those numbers only meaning something early on because you can always catch up. Also Stormcloaks are just the opposing faction to the Legion. They're the Rebels of Skyrim angry that Talos worship is illegal, but they're pretty racist too.

Thanks really helpful but i think i'll stick with my first choice as a Khajiit, night vision is really helpful (when your sneaking around you don't want to be carrying a torch) Plus the 15 unarmed damage is very useful since most [one-handed] weapons dont do more than 20 (i also found "The Gloves of The Pugalist" which is ANOTHER +10 for a total of 25)
