Yes, worldwide we cannot rely on governments any more..here in Australia we have no one except our own actions to control rampant greed, destruction of our last wild places, illegal logging, habitat loss of the our koala daily disappearing, massive dredging for of glad stone harbour will prob mean the end of the Great Barrier Reef//our state and fed govts are so in bed with these 1pc that they do nothing. People can't keep peeling her skin, digging into her body, drilling into her heart the way they have been doing. People can't treat her water like sewers and we can dump anything into it...water is life it can bring us life through watering plants or fish...or it can die and the rest will die with it including people. Turn off a lite, don't buy plastic bottles, use reusable bags...little things add up.

@natch15 You know what I found really disturbing? I was cycling 2000 km across the maritimes to raise awareness about the destruction of a very bio-diverse land in Ottawa. I was waiting in a restaurant for the ferry to PEI when I saw on the news that they gave Stephen Harper an honorary chief status. I almost puked. Harper is nothing but destructive towards the First Nations.
@sensfan22 Actually, they gave Harper the name "Chief Walking Eagle" which means he is so full of it he can't fly. I don't think most of the right wing Canadians know that, but many First Nations it is a joke.
I watched this for the first time a couple of days ago here in Oxford...it broke me open. It was like you were singing for the child in me who cared as much as you but wasn't able to sing her song at the time...as an adult I now do! Planning to do workshops here were they putting pipelines in my backyard to get people inspired to say no to enbridge pipeline and making this as a school project!
just went trough some old family photos... seeing my sister and i running on the beach, sitting in the garden.., playing outside and enjoying our life. this is how kids should grow up and live, not near an ocean filled with oil and toxic chemicals or near factory standing where there was once an open field.
What would it take for this song to go viral or to get to number 1 in the charts? I think it deserves such coverage! The message is important, the words are moving, the tune is haunting & the young girl has a voice like an angel's!!!

@MsTay2232 We need to do our best to treat our Mother Earth like she is our true mother. People can't keep peeling her skin, digging into her body, drilling into her heart the way they have been doing. People can't treat her water like sewers and we can dump anything into it...water is life it can bring us life through watering plants or fish...or it can die and the rest will die with it including people. Turn off a lite, don't buy plastic bottles, use reusable bags...little things add up.

@natch15 You know what I found really disturbing? I was cycling 2000 km across the maritimes to raise awareness about the destruction of a very bio-diverse land in Ottawa. I was waiting in a restaurant for the ferry to PEI when I saw on the news that they gave Stephen Harper an honorary chief status. I almost puked. Harper is nothing but destructive towards the First Nations.

@sensfan22 Actually, they gave Harper the name "Chief Walking Eagle" which means he is so full of it he can't fly. I don't think most of the right wing Canadians know that, but many First Nations it is a joke.

I watched this for the first time a couple of days ago here in Oxford...it broke me open. It was like you were singing for the child in me who cared as much as you but wasn't able to sing her song at the time...as an adult I now do! And i woke this morning with this song running through me..took me a while to place it. I'd say a sign of a powerful song, one that stays and runs like a river through us all.
