this is what they do in Cervelo when they replace someone's frame under warranty. They just cut the cracked one to check what failed. Know a guy who had his R3 replaced because of the crack in BB area, after Cervelo received his frame they said that they have to cut it to check if it qualifies to be replaced under warranty. It did, and the guy received new frame very quickly indeed.

@storck08 hey dood was it possible as S2 or an R3 because they used a new paint compound on those bikes that wasnt flexy enough for the frame so when you flex the bottom bracket the paint cracks.

probably needed to get a replacement frame? I've seen it done before on other bikes with warranty issues when you don't want to return the frame to the factory, then they might ask you to cut up the old frame, send them pics and they'll send you the new one..
