I used to live nextdoor to guy who was a cross between Crenshaw and Sam the Keeper from Werewolf. He ended up moving away to get away from this street (in Ohio) and it's mafia problem and ethnic sympathies, whatever that means.
If you ever see one where ever you might be, don't allow anyone to make a movie about it; nor invite anyone along to see the area or to watch for this creature or you will find yourself in the shadows and they will get all the credit.
@KingOfUm This Peirce screwed over the folks of Fouke making the first movie. He screwed them all royal-no one got a goddamned cent for their part in making Johnny come lately rip off Charles Pierce. And this 2nd movie? Bull shit period.
@norseleague That doesn't really surprise me; I also heard that this is actually the third film of the series, but the true second one was allegedly so bad that it was intentionally forgotten. Oh well, nothing missed.

Also "God bless you half man, half pig" Parent of manbearpig?
As bad as this movie is, it's still a deeply human portrayal of a noble, wild beast in its natural habitat. It shows the real day-to-day struggles of this graceful creature, and how underneath its ugly, animalistic exterior it has a few simple, understandable needs: to be left alone and tend to its fires.
Man so glad I found these episodes on youtube. I was about 12 when I started watching it in the 90's and I remember watching it with my best friend. We never laughed so hard in our lives. I'm in my mid 20's now and I find it just as funny. Good stuff.
in the beginning of the movie they keep talking about how much the creature stinks but at crenshaw's place they can't smell it at all. i guess they forgot that the creature was supposed to stink
@Anglerfishpie I would have to say Hobgoblins is the worst. Its the only episode of MST I can't watch over and over because it almost makes me physically ill.
@OzzyFan87 I'm surprised! The movie sucks but it's one of the funniest episodes. I was so happy when it finally came to DVD. I'd say "Pu Maman" was pretty harsh. Hercule's DEEP HURTING was pretty bad too. Of all time though, the worst would be "Twilight" (I know it's Rifftrax but it still is the worst movie they've ever riffed). Talk about sickening! "I...I...I...uh...um..wha...wha..huh..."
@SnjperWulf Yeah but Hobgoblins is just WAY to corny. I could watch Pumaman all day just because of the Aztec guy. I think of a quote from Screaming Skull when it comes to Hobgoblins, "So they put a little bit of movie in a box and filled the rest with foam peanuts".
@OzzyFan87 Well, Pumaman did teach me that puma can fly, like to dress in casual clothes, and prefer incarnating inside of white men as opposed to the "loyal to the alien gods" Aztec lol. Hey, there was a big helping of movie in Hobgoblins! What about that cool garden tool fight or all the parking scenes!? I guess everybody has their favorite and least favorites. I have trouble watching "Beast of Yucca Flats" and "Hamlet" as they are pretty dull movies. So, what's your favorite episode?
@SnjperWulf Well i'm more of a Mike fan, and also like the scifi years better too. My favorite is a toss up between Projected Man and Prince of Space.
@OzzyFan87 Well, your just like me in that regard. Grew up on Mike (I'm a bigger fan of Bill Corbett as Crow (sorry Trace)) and I think the show reached its peak during the sci-fi years. lol I love Prince of Space too (That's a toy I wouldn't mind having; I like it very much!). If I had to pick my favorites it would be Hobgoblins/Time Chasers/Werewolf/Prince of Space/Outlaw/Space Mutiny. Which is a lot lol. I can't wait for "Reefer Madness" on August 19th!
@cakes122387 ha ha ha... and even they couldn't take it! ran out of lines and instead stuck in cardboard sillhouettes.... bleah i gotta stop remembering that movie. it might cause brain cancer...

@norsketown I know I did. If I watch the episode now, I still get something in my eye. I can't tell you how thrilled I was when they began releasing dvd sets & posting full eps on youtube. It just rekindled my obsession for it- and helps feed my obsession with RiffTrax & Cinematic Titanic :)
(I'll be honest. I haven't woken up early on a Saturday morning since the show went off the air.)
@switzerlicious I have to say that I was in my 20s in the 90s, and this song takes me straight back every time...I watched this every Sunday and the theme holds such amazing nostalgia. Makes me feel really sentimental and a little sad. Those were such amazing times.
@electricbayonet2 Rifftrax is truly the best thing out there right now. I went to the Plan 9 live rifftrax and in a few weeks I'm going to see House On Haunted Hill. Good stuff, for sure.
@switzerlicious Really? Have a good time, man. I saw their Plan 9 a few months back. Nearly pissed myself laughing, and I couldn't drink my soda because I couldn't stop laughing long enough.

You said it perfectly. If I ever get married I'm using the MST3K Love Theme.

Exactly what it was like. And the intro music is so upbeat

@switzerlicious call me a nerd, but I salute when I hear the MST3K end credits. it's like the national anthem of MST3K and riffing!

@switzerlicious I have one word for you, my friend: Rifftrax. It's not MST3K, but damned if it isn't the next best thing.
electricbayonet2 1 year ago 3
@electricbayonet2 Rifftrax is truly the best thing out there right now. I went to the Plan 9 live rifftrax and in a few weeks I'm going to see House On Haunted Hill. Good stuff, for sure.

@switzerlicious Really? Have a good time, man. I saw their Plan 9 a few months back. Nearly pissed myself laughing, and I couldn't drink my soda because I couldn't stop laughing long enough.

I'm rather disappointed they never compared that professor guy to Ray Stevens. I guess it was an oversight.
GreenDay1981 3 years ago
I guess they just didn't want to insult the genius that is Ray Stevens.
