@totahstreetjhon We love soccer in America and play it in Highschool. Almost all Americans love soccer. Only Europeans who learn American Football begin to love it. It is very complicated to learn but once you get it its cool to learn.
The players are massive, fast and fierce. They are olympic level athlets who run faster than most top 100 meter champions. They lift more than most famous weight lifters. The do things I have never seen men do. If you ever met then in person its stunning
It's funny how much of a die hard American Football Fan i was, and now i'm playing real football... Left Midfield and defense. and Playing Real football was one of my best choices. wished i played more of it:(
Well....They are and they arnt told who to throw to. In the play there is a "primary receiver" that the play has been designed around. If the primary receiver is covered then the QB will check off to his next receiver and if that one is covered he will check off again. He will keep doing this while scanning the field until he either finds the open man, gets sacked, or throws the ball away.
American football is definitely not simple at all. The whole concept of downs, throwing rules, and everything else is way more complicated than "kick the ball in the net." And I'd like to see soccer players meet physical requirements to play football. But I guess its too hardcore for someone named "warriorprince"
You seem to think that football is "catch and run" and "block." Every play in football is carefully choreographed, and chosen after weeks of studying film to get a feel for the other team's defensive tendencies. It actually takes brains, unlike soccer.
And a big LOL for claiming that soccer players are in better shape than football players.
You don't get it, but that's understandable. There is plenty of decision making in football, but it is far too complex for you to comprehend with only a cursory knowledge of the game. Europeans cannot grasp the concept of "strategy." It's why the U.S. has either whooped your ass or bailed you out of every major war you've been involved in since the 18th century. Americans are tougher and more strategic.
The UK has bailed out the US and the world many times. The USA has never helped the UK. Football vs gridiron. Gridiron is absic and has no skill. No decision making from what I can see there at all. Football is just toot technicial for steroid induced jocks. I would be offended if these idiots liked football tbh.
LOL maybe you should take a history class. Your queen would be wearing a swastika right now if not for the U.S.
You keep making the same points over and over again, and you're starting to sound desperate. It's ok, you don't need to admit that football is better. I know that you know it is.
You can have your foot-juggling fairies who fall down and wail at the slightest bit of contact. Yes, that is truly "skillful." I'll take those who can hit, take a hit, and use strategy to win.
The UK saved themselves at the BOB long before you guys go involved. Gridiron is basic, average, medicore. Football is excellence. beauty, brilliance.
Actually, your great city of London was laid to waste by the Germans before we saved you. AFTER your Chamberlain claimed to have a promise from Hitler saying he would not attack you. Laughable at best.
As I said, you can have your "excellent, beautiful, and brilliant" soccer players who fall down and cry whenever another player gets within three feet of them. In America, sports aren't supposed to be "beautiful," they are supposed to determine which group of men is better than the other. QED
Chamberlain was representing your nation and many others when he tried to avoid war, wisely. London survived because the UK destroyed hitlers airforce, nothing to do with you guys. Although the 6 million jews that died was down to your cowardice. "excellent, beautiful, and brilliant" are accurate ways to describe football. Thanks.
If you destroyed Hitler's air force, then why was the Royal Air Force too pussy to carry out daylight bombing raids into Europe, instead leaving it to the Americans? As I said, your queen would be accompanied by an SS guard everywhere she went if we had not bailed your sorry nation out.
Day light bombings was dangerous, hence why you guys fought for only a few years yet lost far more troops. Poor tactics. The UK saved themselves. The US would be under nazi rule fit he UK had cut a deal with Hitler.
Football is the most strategic sport in the world, and no skill? Are you stupid? The NFL QB has the hardest position in all of sports, that is not even arguable if you know anything about the sport.
Your football is what the queers in this country get off on when gay porn is not available.
Gridiron is a very basic simplistic sport. The QB is a very basic position he only learns one skill. Gridiron will always be a fall back sport fro guys who fail at their first choice sport.
Oh god this is pathetic, you obviously don't know what you are talking about.
QB is the toughest position in ANY sport period.
Try learning 500 plays of not only your assignment but the other 10 players as well. Then try learn what the defense is going to do, then change the play to if you don't think the original one will work.
Try finding an open Wr in 3 seconds, and getting the ball to him. When I mean open, I'm saying he only has a 1 step lead from the defender.
What skill is there in learning maybe 20 or 30 plays? Anyone can do that. In football you need to memorise plays and it takes 10 years to elarn the basics at football. Hence why your top guys have been rejected by football and found it too hard,
20 or 30??? Again try 500. The playbooks they recieve are 6 inches thick.
And the reasons are top guys are rejected at your football is because no one cares about it. When David Beckham came to play for whatever team he joined, people were more interested in his friendship with Tom Cruise than his playing ability.
And no skill in our football? Lol everything is down to a science, players can make or lose millions off something as simple as how well they turn their hips.
you have got to be the stupidest person ever . if playing qb in the nfl is so easy, why dont you go out and do it? if its so easy, why do teams have trouble finding guys to pay millions of dollars to and perform well? you could be a multi millionare right now. go try out at qb for an nfl team and see how embarrassed you are. they would laugh your shit-mouthed ass back to london, or wherver the fuck your dumb ass is from. fuck you and your "football" long live american football.
not only do you need to know every play offence and defence, your footwork needs to be perfect, the way you hold the ball, and through it, not only with your amr, but with your body. Oh and the pressure, all eyes are on you every time your out there. As well as the time, step back and through, if you dont your face is in the terf. you try being a QB then talk.
Quarterbakc has to decide who to throw to and how to react to the pressure around him, and seeing the pressure of the guys comign towards him, he can isntantly rechonise who would be open, all in about a second.
and in football, soccer, i learned the basic rules at the age of 5 in about 20 minutes, 19 mins of that was the offside rule. thats one of the wonders, but the QB has to work out who to pass too, taking into account the coverage. and you said 30 plays max to learn. i played 5 a side football and i learnt that many.
Learning plays is not learning rules. In football their are many formations and they can all be played in many different ways. Gridiron has mere plays, set pieces like a corner or freekick. No tactics or styles of play in gridiron thats why it is so simple.
many formatiuons yes, but easy to understand cause they have numbers fto tell them how many in each posistion 442 433 424 all of those. relatviley easy. simple. but. I form 22 TE flip and even you can change that run play into different people doing different blockassignments and pre snap moves. you know what that means? No? then fuck off. i like football i just hate arragont twats like you that dont know what theyre talking about.
I saw empty seats at the wembley cup. and they were ALL on sale, in the nfl they dont put them on sale cause if your at the same height as the players yyou see jack shit.
I like football, im british, but i hate your ignorance, i got friends who thinks football better, but respects what i like.
this is coming from someone with the username warriorprince.
I think it's totally stupid to play NFL games in the UK or anywhere else outside the US. They are taking away a home game from some home crowd and it isn't fair. All I can say is that I'd be totally pissed if they took a home Packer game (I live in GB) away from us like that!
Im British, and i love these games coming over, only chance to see a live game. if they bring two games over, il like it, but you guys wont. For the rumors the superbowl will be played, i even thinks thats over the top. I respect you loose a game, but to me, we gain alot to see the amazing sport.
well nearly all the cities in england have staiums due to soccer, i mean cardiff can house 60 000. cause rugby isnt played at wembley, its played at twickenham, and there are 5 stadiums soccer in london, including wembley, one of them pretty new, the emirates, home to arsenal, which is close to wembley. holds 60 000 and england play at wembley, so we have loads of stadiums, arsenal played at a 30 000 seater stadium, now the emirates, some play in big stadiums, some play in small ones.
thats awesome. i know in pennsylvania alone theres many stadiums in and around philadelphia, including a indoor stadium for basketball and hockey, one for baseball, and another for football. theres colleges all over this area with big stadiums, penn state university has a massive stadium gets close to 100,000, and pittsburgh has the same amount of stadiums as philadelphia including lots of colleges. lol thats just one state. this country is huge when i think about it.
If the UK had only 8 football teams in our system then we would need bigger stadiums than 70,000, maybe 150,000. That is why football has so many teams to spread the fans out. Gridiron will never be as popular in the UK as football, gridiron is just too basic.
basic? its not basic at all! if anything football is amazing for the fact all you need is a ball to play, in my eyes thats basic, while american football isnt just people running into each other. every play is planned and put to the test and executed perfectly, it can take years and years just to get a championship team going. it took the tampa bay buccaneers 3 seasons to win a game, because they were new, and needed to et the right players and the plays executing.
I was merely pointing out why I do not find gridiron fun. Too basic and lacks creativity. Unlike you guys who just hate football because you struggle to be good at it.
Hmm...if gridiron is so "basic," why is it that it takes years and years to fully comprehend the rules of the game, whereas soccer can be learned in two seconds: "put the ball in the goal, don't use your hands."
Also, the reason many Americans don't like soccer is because we find it boring. Wow, another thrilling 1-0 match. Someone find me a tranquilizer, that is too much excitement for me.
It doesn't take years to learn the rules of gridiron. Dwain Chambers learn to play and got a pro contract in one month. The reason gridiron is not respected in the UK is because we find it boring and simplistic. We demand action and skill, not 3 hours of adverts.
Yeah, he got a contract with NFL Europe. That's like making the soccer team at your high school. Whoop de do.
Yeah, great action you have there, there's a pass, oh man, another pass! Could it be...another pass?!? Holy shit, this action is unbelievable.
American football requires strategy, choreography, and intellect. It's how Americans like it, I guess...it's the reason we dominate in wars and the reason we have the best sport.
NFL Europe was a pro league, the second best gridiron league in the world, there are only 3 I am told, hehe. Dwain got a pro contract after 1 month of training. You could never do that in football I am afraid it is just too technical.
I know what NFL Europe is, or was. What I'm saying is that NFL Europe sucked. There are college teams made up of amateur athletes in the U.S. that could have beaten NFL Europe teams. Also, Chambers never played a down of football because he got injured, but I guarantee you he would have been a bust. If all it took to be good at football was speed, Usain Bolt would have gotten a $100 million contract by now.
@polytechvirginia so you have short attention spans lol. 'soccer' is more complicated than 'put the ball in the goal, don't use your hands'. American Football is basic, I learnt the rules of the game in an hour playing NFL on xbox 360. The only 'complicated' thing about it, is the tactics and that is not part of the rules meaning you don't have to know it. Gridiron is like: Can you throw? you are QB. Can you catch? You are a running back. Rest of you are fat so just go in the middle and fight.
@NorthWeezy2010 Hahaha you come to the conclusion about the sport from xbox? Please go try to play a real actual game and see how "basic" it is. Most people actually play the sport before they make judgments on it, and for the most part the people who ive seen that have actually have gone out and played it, quickly changed their views on it.
@91gt306 No. I'm saying that is how basic the game is. I learnt it from a fucking video game in a short period of time. What I said is correct. American Football tactics are optional, which is the most complicated part. Therefore, the actually game is piss easy. Like I said before: You can throw? You're a QB. You can catch? You're a running back. You're fat? Go in the middle and wrestle with the other fatties in the middle.

How on earth is the NFL "basic" in comparison to football/soccer? There's nothing basic about it-football/soccer is one of the most basic and simplistic of all team sports. NFL football is much more involved and complicated and there's nothing rudimentary about it. Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding your use of the word "basic."
Throw catch, stop repeat. Hardly complex. The game is not involving as most of the time players are watching the game. I am guessing the only way gridiron fans can get attention is to troll. Gridiron is basic and lacks the creativity and athleticism to be called a sport.
You seem to be very passionate towards trying to convince everyone the inferiority of American football. All you sound like is a boy with a massive inferiority complex who must spend endless hours convincing others what you want to believe.
You should concentrate on gridiron and leave football alone. Insulting football may be your national sport but it just shows how jealous you are of footballs popularity.
Good lord, you have a bigger chip on your shoulder than I had previously thought considering I didn't once insult football/soccer in any of my posts. Go ahead, use that big brain of yours to reread my previous post and you'll notice I haven't said anything negative about it.
fucking get your facts right before you get a point of veiw on something.
22 ice 22 dive, i formation, pro set, wishbone flex bone, t formation. all took me a whole YEAR to understand. Dwain chambers played an easy posistion, in the tactical front, you remember a few routes by number, and understand when to block or to run, and a man with his speed could grasp it. Quarterback has to know EVERYTHING about the sport, the routes, the formation, the runs, the clock managment. sort it out.
no, they close off a bit cause if your too close, the gamnes a bit shit. i still cant believe the saints came out the wrong tunnel, i thought it was ment to be that way, and no flames, and i thought it was a bit shit.
dude shut up u obliviously dont like the sport i treid nicely but now im teling you stop ruining the sport for the rest of us the game is now the 4th most popular sport in the uk
unsold?! the sealed off some of the seats for this event, cause you gotta be higher up to see everything. it sold out alright, they sold 10 000 tickets in the first 7 minutes and now they are nearly sold out, for an event thats happening in october.

I was merely pointing out why I do not find gridiron fun. Too basic and lacks creativity. Unlike you guys who just hate football because you struggle to be good at it.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago

We demand action and skill, not 3 hours of adverts.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago

You could never do that in football I am afraid it is just too technical.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago

NorthWeezy2010 5 months ago
@NorthWeezy2010 Hahaha you come to the conclusion about the sport from xbox? Please go try to play a real actual game and see how "basic" it is. Most people actually play the sport before they make judgments on it, and for the most part the people who ive seen that have actually have gone out and played it, quickly changed their views on it.
91gt306 1 month ago

Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding your use of the word "basic."
cMarie101st 2 years ago
Throw catch, stop repeat. Hardly complex. The game is not involving as most of the time players are watching the game. I am guessing the only way gridiron fans can get attention is to troll. Gridiron is basic and lacks the creativity and athleticism to be called a sport.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago
Describing NFL football as "throw catch, stop repeat" merely displays your ignorance towards the sport.

Brain surgery: cut, feel around, sew shut.
You seem to be very passionate towards trying to convince everyone the inferiority of American football. All you sound like is a boy with a massive inferiority complex who must spend endless hours convincing others what you want to believe.

You should concentrate on gridiron and leave football alone. Insulting football may be your national sport but it just shows how jealous you are of footballs popularity.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago
Good lord, you have a bigger chip on your shoulder than I had previously thought considering I didn't once insult football/soccer in any of my posts. Go ahead, use that big brain of yours to reread my previous post and you'll notice I haven't said anything negative about it.
ProfessorAR 2 years ago
Football remains number one, gridiron has a long way to go to match football.

fucking get your facts right before you get a point of veiw on something.

This game had 5000 unsold tickets I am afraid.
warriorprince1010 3 years ago
no, they close off a bit cause if your too close, the gamnes a bit shit. i still cant believe the saints came out the wrong tunnel, i thought it was ment to be that way, and no flames, and i thought it was a bit shit.
theowallco2 3 years ago
plus it will be bigger this year due to the fact that tampa and new england are the uks biggest teams
yoyobuck 3 years ago
I have never heard of either of them. Unsold tickets shows gridiron has lost ground, they used to sell out wembley in the late 80's.
warriorprince1010 3 years ago
dude shut up u obliviously dont like the sport i treid nicely but now im teling you stop ruining the sport for the rest of us the game is now the 4th most popular sport in the uk
yoyobuck 3 years ago
unsold?! the sealed off some of the seats for this event, cause you gotta be higher up to see everything. it sold out alright, they sold 10 000 tickets in the first 7 minutes and now they are nearly sold out, for an event thats happening in october.

Ermm i think it may of been summit different than them not trusting the kicker, and it wasn't play-action :L They just run that TD on 8 minutes
AdrianTP3369 3 years ago
Ermm, the not trusting the kicker thing was a joke!
