@oldskool90s The best way to restrict comments on your posts or status updates is to Change the Privacy Settings under How You Connect, click Edit, select Who Can Post on your Timeline. Change the settings to Only Me. Then nobody will be able to comment on your posts.
If that is too drastic, you can use the Audience Selector to determine who you want to see the post and be able to comment. You can also use the Custom field to allow or dissallow certain people from commenting.
@keithjackson45 Under Privacy Settings, select - How You Connect and Edit Settings. Then select Who Can Post on Your Wall and select "Only Me"
Then nobody else can post on your wall except for you. But that applies to everything. They can't share other links with you or wish you Happy Birthday or anything.
@avirtualbiz With the newest settings, this will work for preventing others from posting on your wall, but they can still comment after your posts, as well as like your posts - you used to be able to restrict these two actions.
Do you know how to restrict others from commenting on your posts??? You used to be able to, but I'm not sure you still can.
@rsoraro Again, you would have to change the privacy settings for your Wall, or when you post your comment you only allow certain people to see it and comment. Or Only You. You can restrict individuals by determining who they are before you post.
You still have the "audience selector" feature. This allows you to select which group can see and comment on the post. And you can control posts that others put on your wall by going to the Account menu and choose Privacy Settings. Then under How You Connect heading, click Edit Settings. Use the audience selector to choose “Who can see posts by others on your profile (timeline)?” People you restrict from seeing posts from others will not be able to post to your Wall (timeline).
@MetalizedButt Here is the answer from Facebook Help --Messages: Any messages that the blocked person sent you before the block will still be there, and if the blocked person is ever included in a message conversation with a group of friends, you’ll be able to see it. But you won’t be able to click on their profile, and they won’t be able to click on yours.
@avirtualbiz Yeah i get all that but that was not my question... I only blocked the dude from seeing my Wallposts, not entirely. So... will he still be able to see all my posting activities?
@MetalizedButt I can't find a definitive answer for that one, but my guess would be yes, if you are still friends, he can see what you post on other people's walls.
@MetalizedButt Also regarding Wall Posts - If the blocked person posted to your Wall before the block, then you’ll still be able to see that post (you can remove Wall posts you don’t like). After the block, they won’t be able to post on your Wall and you won’t see any posts they make to other people’s Walls.
@TheZenBodhi Yes, you can use the Inline Audience Selector when you are posting to your wall to determine who you would like to see the post and be able to share it. The video instruction applies to all other posts including posts you make from Facebook Apps and from iPhones.
CAn you please update this? I want to block posts from specific users. (IE. Keep my party pictures from family...)

Hey, this is a great video, but I have a question.
How do I stop people from commenting on my pictures albums with the new facebook privacy settings? And the same for the videos I add on.
I want them to see it, but not comment on it.
Thanks. :)
