oh of course! uriah heap! u right! mbe thay had too much competition for the same sound and genre back then but i think Mettalica got the idea of "ride the lightning' from Ride the sky! thats just my take. and no one gives IRON BUTTERFLY credit for the term HEAVY METAL either! lol even though as far as im concerned Sabbath perfected the sound and they dont even take credit for it! maybe cuz priest does? lol ,so be it! they all pioneered the sound of METL! +++

Now I'm only 29! But I can appreciate the kick ass sound!. It's rich and choc full of soul. Music back then was friggin far out awesome! Real instriments, real powerful voices, Man spces was definately the destination. Rock On!!
