Odd to be in the lead after placing 2nd in the SP, but I guess figures counted for so much that he was higher with 2 second places than Orser with 3rd and 1st.

@bryan21tx Figures were worth 30%, SP was 20% and LP was 50% of the overall score.

it was sad for brian orser cos he made a mistake in the end that made him get 0.5 points lower than brian boitano!! that was SUCH a close competition :) i think boitano is a bit cleaner, but his a bit boringer also.. but still, 0.5 more is considered more and he does deserve it XP love brian orser tho XP

I love this short program- it is brilliant!
Brian Boitano skated I think the best he ever had in his entire career in these games-he was truly the best in the world.

Wasn't he??? Everything was not only PERFECT, but also SPECTACULAR.. His triple axel combo, his flying death drop, wow...what height!!!
Beautiful, elegant, artistic. Skaters today could learn A LOT from watching him.
