Bay Bridge is one of my favorite airportws to land my 140. Friendly folks and usually good fuel prices. Lavakave, you are kiddig, right? Wear a life jacket and parachute?  What about a Nomex fire suit with gloves and hood?

what if there is an engine failure over the river or over the mountains? are you guys prepared? always wear a life jacket and light parachute backpack.

i am surprised by how many GA pilots have died in the woods or drowned in water when they were at a fairly high glide altitude but couldn't make it to the nearest airport...
