  • to the nut that thinks that they are miming, they are not, this is from 1965 a lot of broadcast TV in those days the video and sound was not in sinc. even in the U.S. and this is from the BBC

  • @jacksonpaints Sorry, but there are no cords to amps, no mikes, no booms or overhead mikes. Yeah, maybe they really played the notes unplugged, sang along with their own prerecorded selves and even Ringo hit the symbols once or twice, but otherwise: not live!

  • Peter Sellers said the wrong lyric. It's "So why on Earth should I moan..." not "That;s why I love to come home..." which everybody sings incorrectly.

  • Listen to the wimpy/ campy cover versions of Beatle songs and then compare it the originals opening riff to Day Tripper....that alone show you how damn great and ahead of their time the Fab 4 really were.

  • "The Music of Lennon & McCartney"

  • they.re miming

  • @courtfarm1 soooooooooo whatz r point ??????

  • be nice to see this in better quality, good 1965 historic tv show.

  • So great! Why isn't this clip more well-known?!?!

  • ive never seen this before but i LOVE it!! The Fab Four at the TOP of their game and Peter Sellers TOO!! :)

  • PETER SELLERS !!! MAN!!! WHAT A TALENT!!! ALL TOGETHER OH BOY! WE DON'T GET TO SEE THESE NOW... ALL IS JUST SO STUPID AND NOT FUNNY....

  • Peter Sellars was brilliant!

  • This is NOT a full show. And this called "The Music of Lennon & McCartney", not "Do What They Do".

  • @GreenBaldrick It's pretty complete in my opinion, since the rest of the show were performances by other invited groups. That is all to the part The Beatles came out :)

  • @GreenBaldrick YES this isa well known BBC show. .Whoever posted this should do some research..this was aired in England..twice, once in 1965 and once in 1984..unknow why the program never was released to DVD or synicatd to USA TV.

  • Love this Goon Shows!

  • omg omg omg this is great thank you for putting out great great

  • this is great never saw this one..must be British??

  • you can hear a Tambourine in the background like in 3:18 and almost all over We Can Work it Out

  • The show was called 'The Music Of Lennon & McCartney' recorded at the Granada TV Centre Nov 1965

  • i've NEVER seen this before.thanks so much for posting.

  • LOVE the Go Go dancers !

  • LOVE the Go Go dancers !

  • This is so cool! So natural....what is it those ladies say in "Help" ? The way they was before they was? Love my Beatles...... Gotta hear them everyday!

  • hahaha... "What about all the other people who have covered our songs"... cut to the rolling stones!!!

  • what is the song at 1:00?

  • @jojjhurrison From Me To You !

  • @jojjhurrison

That song was "From Me To You" by the Beatles

  • That song was FROM ME TO YOU by the Beatles.

  • Thanks for posting! Naturally, I love this from start to end!

  • all beatles ..all the time fab-4 4-ever !!!!!

  • Even better after a couple of shots !

  • Comment removed

  • HAHA! peter sellers does beatles lyrics like Shakespeare would!!

  • This was funny when they were saying the language names of the songs and the narrating a hard days night.

  • Why don't you change the description. This show is called "The Music of Lennon & McCartney". And full, I mean REALLY full version of this show is exist. You can download it on any torrent. This isn't full version.

  • What a loss to the World!!!

  • The covers here are not as good as the originals, but interesting. John and Paul are funny here. The Beatles were an original for sure. Obviously a mime when they perform but good historically. Love it.

  • This Is Called The Songbook of Lennon-McCarteny

  • No

  • THE BEATLES were the only true, original "class act" in "ROCK 'N' ROLL, ever. Everybody else just cashed-in and tried to impersonate them and claim that "they" were unique...

    BS!

THE BEATLES will be the greatest band forever!

  • @007CONROY I'm a Beatles fan too, but I would never go that far. There are a ton of great rock bands, before and after The Beatles. Pink Floyd wasn't unique? Chuck Berry wasn't unique, even though he invented rock n roll?

  • 4:31 Where do I find this version?

  • it's not 'rare' if it's on youtube, hon.

  • @111whitepony111 - The title of the video says that this is "Super Rare". I said, although it may have been rare at one point, it really isn't that rare anymore when you put it on youtube and 12,000+ people have seen it.

not a big deal, I just thought it was worth pointing out.

  • The John-Paul back and forths, hamming it up, etc. are what's good here. The music is just either crap jobs of goofy covers, or pure lip-synch of the studio versions that we all have heard 1,000,000 times.

  • @Cyclist0623 but, you have to admit....1,000.000 times isn't enough!

  • My favorite part was, the guy reading, or narrating "A Hard Days Night" hilarious

  • @Beatles64JL I think that was Peter sellers. And yes, it was Punny!

  • @Beatles64JL

    That 'guy' is Peter Sellers!

  • I liked the covers in different languages. The Beatles are transcultural; they include EVERYBODY. Ain't nothing Beatle Proof! See, the Beatles knew no bounds, borders or barriers; they are a part of everybody's lives. I think Peter Sellers was just too funny! His dry delivery of the lyrics of "A Hard Day's Night" was classic humor. The man was a riot!

  • The Stones did a C+ cover of "I Wanna Be Your Man." The cover of "Can't Buy Me Love" stunk and so did the cover of "I Saw Her Standing There," where the guy flubbed the lyrics. Those damn Chimpunks massacred everthing they did. How CRUEL to do that to "She Loves You." These covers stink.

It's time for the REAL Beatles! They RULE! NOBODY can top the real McCartney, et al. The Beatles are the WORLD'S BEST BAND!

  • 6:12 who is this strange man and why is he reciting the beatles music like a long poem?! :)

  • @something1963 This is Peter Sellers, and he is spoofing HDN in the style of Shakespeare.

  • This is the music of Lennon and McCartney....roxs thanxs

  • everything The Beatles did was amazing, there's a reason they are the greatest band ever- evne just talking to eachother they were funny and creative

  • paul looks so adorable here! john and paul look so cute at 0:56. awwwwwzies with a popsicle.

  • Marvelous! So wonderful to see new things after all these years. What a treat. thanks

  • Wow this is y ur my bestie jenni thnks for telling me bout this video and if anyone knows the organ part to we can work it out tell me!!!

  • awwwwwwwwwwww at 5:13 when paul is climbing up the ladder john puts his hand on pauls shoulder and makes sure he doesnt fall. AWWWWWWWWW i love there relationship. so cute both of them.

  • i love the way paul and john are just talkin to eachother while ppl dance. haha. u dont usually get to see them talk w/ eachother bc they r either singing or talking to interviewers or fans or something. its nice to see john and paul just plain old talking to eachother. they r both so cute. but paul is my fav.

  • 1:09 Chipmunks!!

  • i actually own the record where the chipmunks sings "she lovers you" but they also sing ,"do you wanna know a secret", "hard days night" ,and "i want to hold you hand" just to name a few.

  • @wippokeman It's not the chipmunks,it's pinky & perky,John even saya so.Pinky & Perky were Marionette puppets on a childrens show presented by a folk singer named Wally Whiteon in the 60's.

  • "Isent that Italien?" " No German." "French?" "Italien." " German?" "French."

    " Sweedish?" " Sweedish!"

    Luv Luv Luv This!

  • @iputbaconinthesoap a hahaha i loved that part too

  • @iputbaconinthesoap Italian* I think you mean.
