Thats amazing. It actually is great....It could only be better using the Konami VRC6 co-processing chip with sound expansions (aka. Castlevania 3 in Japan)

On the SNES and GBA versions, the underground Golbez fight wasn't that bad.

But on the DS one...

It's not all that difficult, just don't bother reviving any of your characters. Have Cecil use Libra and find Golbez's weakness, and Rydia use an appropriate summon. If necessary skip a round of Libra and have Cecil heal.

It should be over in a few turns.

This is another pretty epic song, although it's a bit too high pitched for me here (that's my only beef though!). Other than that, I like it!

I must ask though - why are they crouching in pain when they have decently high health? ;)

I thought I got the pitch just right, but whatever.

They're crouching because they were paralyzed by Golbez. If you look at the image closely, you can see little squiggly lines next to them.

NES tones are crunchy

no matter how many adjustments are made to the pitch it will always sound a touch off to most people

although I suppose that is the point of a remix.... yeah? btw wonderful 8bit translation : )
