  • does this guy have teeth?

  • hmm... have you studied the Acuspeed 24 Diet (do a google search)? I am told some amazing chatter about it and my grandpa burned lots of pounds doing it.

  • Well this Ass ever get to the [point?

  • @DroppingtheFat Hello,thankyou for your speedy reply!.

Yes,I do eat red meat but only really well sourced red meat and only once a week.

remember that the Eskimos mainly eat only whale blubber!but I'm having regular blood tests now,so I will look at my iron and other mineral results in those and tell you. Thank-you for taking the time to share new and exciting results of new diet infomation,I think Lo-carb is just the tip of the iceberg though but its a good start.

  • I looked at all the heart reports by all the leading heart disease reversal doctors(ornish and the rest)all vegetarians and NOT one report could say anything about fish, salmon in particular!. except heavy metals etc.so If you follow my advice(and im a nobody )so Ive got nothing to gain, you will improve your body so much that you will not believe what it is like to feel healthy!,just post back here to let other folk know the good news.but stay away from red meat.

  • @rockcityaudio Glad your having success on a lowcarb diet. But do be aware that it would not be good to cut out red meat entirely as it does provide a whole raft of essential nutrients.

If you stick to eating only fish and vegetables you will not be giving your body the nutrients it needs nor food that is truly satisfying IMHO.

Exercise is of course one of the keys to steady weight loss so keep that up and I hope you're heading towards the short duration 'heart pumping' type.

  • So for me personally,I shall do this diet with fish and vegetables, with very small portions of low GI fruit. My weight loss is steady but most importantly My heart rate and BP are that of a 15 year old.110/70 heart rate 63.before diet 128/84 heart rate 85.

I only used to walk for exercise, I'm 46 and my angina has totally gone!.now I ride a bicycle full on,every single day!.

  • I also found that my diastolic increased when eating a lot of red meat!.

But I do know for sure now(with me anyway)that sugar, flour, grains, etc have an unhealthy effect on me.I measured my blood pressure and heart rate before ingesting a lo carb meal, the rise in BP and heart rate was very small indeed, then I measured with a typical high carb meal, the results were very very high.High BP and high heart rate, which took up to 3 hours to resolve.

  • Hi Everyone, the best way to do this is with Fish, especially salmon.

I found that when I ate a lot of meat red meat my blood stat results and my blood pressure results were not as good.I even found that my arms and legs felt stiff!.

I'm not a doctor but my thinking is that the fa and oil in Salmon or fish does not slow down the blood flow through the heart.so the diet is great and CORRECT but just stick to MOSTLY fish and Lo Carb Vegetables,it works!.grains and flours are the killers!.

  • talk about loosing weight...I think this guy lost his teeth lol!

  • Actually, it's because of a new diet I'm working on. There will be a new book coming out sometime called the 'Denture Diet' subtitled 'Leave your teeth at home and lose weight'

  • Soon as I started induction, within three days my sleep apnoea, carpal tunnel syndrome and sciatica all mysteriously disappeared without treatment.

  • no teeth???

  • @malmsteen2002 hahahahahahhahaa

  • To lose weight you have to go into induction to get your body to burn fat. Stay away from dairy, bread and pasta. Stick with green veggies/salads and lean meats after the 14 days of just protein. Stay away from diet drinks and drink water or unsweetened tea. Drink half your body weight in ounces of water a day.

  • I gained weight on this diet and felt like SHIT!! Soon as I started eating fruit, two stones of weight came off effortlessly and I had loads of energy.

  • That is entirely possible as there are about 2 to 3 percent of people who are not able to do a low carb diet in the usual way. They have to follow a slightly modified version to take account of their particular metabolic make-up.

  • @DroppingtheFat Only 2-3%? Ooh I must be such a rarity!! :D Too many carbs make me gain weight though.. Grains especially. I agree with limiting carbs, but if it's too low I have no energy at all. Doesn't anyone else find it to be miserable? Aren't carbs vital for serotonin production??

  • @MsVenaLuna Cause you are a slow oxidizer or better called veggie type ;) ...check mercola dot com :)

  • @MsVenaLuna

Would it be harsh to say that it is you who sucks at this diet and not that the diet sucks?

  • @CHIMESTERDOTCOM Well it would be a little harsh yes, given that I was only sharing my experience with it...

  • @MsVenaLuna

And a system full of sugar... Teeth go rotten, and worse, beware of diabetes. They used to call it 'sugar diabetes', and not for nothing.

  • This is a way of life, not just a diet. Make sure to eat healthy fats and proteins (fresh, unprocessed meats, nuts, seeds-flax is great) as your main source of protein. Eat daily amounts of low carb veggies (broccoli, beets, etc.) as it helps with vitamin absorption and bowel movements.

  • Read the book. If you are asking what you can eat and are too lazy to read the book to get the answer then you don't need the answer you are just wasting time.

  • Good video!

  • Can i eat tomatoes soup if i just take out the potatoes out?

  • Can you eat ritz crackers on low car diet? If i only eat 4/5 of thems?

  • @atlmycity2 No

  • @atlmycity2 no

  • Some great points made in the comment field here. It is essential healthy carbs stay IN the diet. The brain and muscles absolutely depend on them, and they enable the body to "switch over" more effectively for long-term results.

  • i went on atkins a few years back and i lost about 30lbs in 2 months. the only exercise i did was i worked up to 30 min on a stairmaster. i went off the diet and gaind it back in about a yrs time. i tried to start phase 1 yesterday and drank nothing but water but got massive headaches! i need to get muti vitamins before i start. is crystal light any good? i find it much better than plain water..but will it interfere with the induction phase? i lost the book a while back.

    anybody?

  • atkins does not focus on healthy fats its just a quick keto diet solution that can be very unhealthy over the long term with such high unhealthy fats. try eating healthy fats and lean proteins with plenty of vegetables. the reason you bebounded so quick was because your bodies main source of energy is always carbs and when it hasnt had them for such a long time and you start back on them it goes into a feeding frenzy absorbing everything it can. this isnt a diet to stay on unless your diabetic

  • this is a good diet for bodybuilders or fitness competitors that have to drop fat and get lean for a show then go off of this diet and add carbs back in. when they add the carbs it does the same thing it did for you it absorbed them all real quick which is good if your trying to bulk up and build muscle in the off season like bodybuilders do. but again rotating back and forth could make you insulin resistant

  • @davidmpenwell87

i want to drop my body fat % , idk why but is it because i eat whole wheat bread and there carbs? im 12% and want to go to 7%

  • Thank goodness I found your channel this morning. I went vegetarian Dec. 2, 2008 and I'm happy with that decision. But I've gained weight when I actually needed to lose. Clear conscience/weight gain? Not an option.

The Atkins diet worked brilliantly well for me when I ate meat. I've missed it. Now I realize I still have it as an option. Your videos are informative and inspiring: They convince me that it's worth the effort to work out the special considerations of a vegetarian on Induction.
