I dont know if you remeber but the united states was attacked on 9/11 by Al qaeda given safe haven in afghanistan by the Taliban Regime. This is no war of choice, its a war of necessity back by multinational forces specifically NATO.
The fact that its tough does not justify the sentiment that this is somehow another Iraq. This was a war of retaliation for an Attack on US soil and it needs to be won otherwise Afghanistan unlike iraq knows no civilization and taliban could access Pakistan nukes.
