You guys complain about Rusty's solo, but I heard the man playing The End freely down here in Brazil and both Rusty and the blonde one kicked ass on that... I guess Rusty was told to solo like that, without high tones, opposite of what george did back there...

I agree that Rusty still has to create his landmark solo. He is not very good in improvisation too. But he´s a brilliant ellegant player on the little details that help to make the performances what they are. Brian is much more soulful player, though. As for Abe, of course he´s no Ringo Starr, but he´s the best drummer Paul has played with since - he´s steady and swing-y, a delight to listen to. In general, this is the best band Paul has played with on his solo years.

and rusty sucks..end of story...brian ray blows rusty away on lead and should be the lead guitarist...

george harrisons solo on one after 909 is so great..it really enhances the overall song that he should play it note for note with some embellishment...

please watch the beatles play this ...watch ringo..he plays great whereas fat abe plays this like a bar mitvah band player and rusty blows georges brilliant solo..brian and wix are great..but abe and rusty are forgettable....abe can sing so that keeps him in the band..as for rusty...must work..for food

@tedsimoes That was his best band since Wings! When he had Robbie, Wix, Hamish and Chris Whitten with him they sounded great. SInce then, ... not so much.

i am not being cynical...but it shows how great the beatles were...cause pauls band are all top session men ....but when they do beatle songs its never as good..they dont get the same groove...

listen to this..then listen to the beatles doing this live on the roof from the let it be cd...the beatles groove on this song so much better and of course the john and paul harmony is never touched by pauls band members when they sing with him...

happy whenever he adds songs...must revamp his set list.

@ChiroQuacker I disagree with you. Keep in mind, Paul is a BEATLE, and he is the lead singer! I think he does many of his own songs worse than this. I just heard him do "Maybe i`m amazed" and it was horrible. He doesn`t have the voice to do that anymore, but he sounds great on this, and it is refreshing to hear the band do their own version of the solo. If you want it to sound like the record, play it. This is live, they can do what they want!

so if your solo is gonna be this lousy..then just do george's solo..which is a high point of the song...

now billy prestons solo on get back is brilliant..and wix does it note for note with a bit of flare thrown in...

so i advise rusty should do the same....

as he does on my love ...

@ChiroQuacker Paul is known for telling his musicians excatly what to play. That`s what made George Harrison pissed off, and what made many members of Wings quit. Paul is a control freak, so Rusty didn`t make up that solo. When Wings were recording "My love" Paul allowed wings guitarist to improvise the famous solo, but that was an exception.

brians solos blow rusty off the map when they do the guitar dual on "the end"...

rusty is my least favorite lead guitarist paul has had....

@ChiroQuacker He had one in the late 80`s and early 90`s called Robbie McCintosh, i think he was pretty good, but Rusty Anderson is good too. But i kinda liked Robbies style better.

Maybe Rusty flubbed a note or two, or maybe it just wasn't picked up well by the recording device. I'd be interested to hear the professionally recorded version from Sirrus to see if it sounds better. Even if it doesn't, what some people fail to realize is that rock music is fluid. Rusty's an artist. Every now and then, there's gonna be a clunker. He's still awesome.

@NicNac13c I don`t think Rusty`s solo was bad at all. Somewbody called "ChiroQuacker" complained about it-not me. I think Rusty is a fine guitarist, but my favorite is Robbie McCaintosh. He played with Paul in the early 90`s and i like that band. Paul didn`t wanna play with them after Linda died, cause she used to be in that band too, and he felt it would be to emotional. He kept Wix Wickens on keyboard, but replaced the rest of the band with his current live band.

@Yellyist I agree, especially after hearing the professional copy from Sirius. There wasn't a clunker, but that camera didn't pick up the nuances and it sounded clunky. I like Rusty and Brian, and Abe is the best drummer anyone could hope for and of course Wix is a master at getting an orchestra out of a keyboard and he was probably the closest to Linda, since they used to play side by side.
