b18rcivic, Throck is a great guy, upfront, honest, straightforward. I work in several bands with him, as well as other collaborations and combinations. I don't know what I'd do without him.
Easily one of the best drummers in the country; not even a question about him being the best in the burgh. A great guy (from what i've heard), impeccable feel, creative as all hell. This kind of stuff keeps me up at night.... amazing.
I took my first lessons from Throck at Drumworld back when I was like 13, I am now a Percussion major at WVU... without the stuff I learned from him, I wouldn't have made it have as far with music as I have.
sure thing Bill... thank you for watching. If you enjoy this I strongly encourage you subscribing to the videos there is a lot more great footage on the way!!
Thank you for posting this. I don't know how anyone is rating this less than 5 stars, but I am currently watching this with 2 other musicians, and our minds are blown.
Hey I'm glad you guys liked it... what kind of music do you play / listen to?
I'm producing a web series on these musicians, thus far I've just released deleted scenes to my youtube account, but yea, I agree, this stuff is mind blowing... and I'm going to be putting a lot more up once I start releasing the full episodes
We're doing a similiar type of hip/hop, jazz, funk, fusion thing. Our drummer is a huge Throckmorton fan, and our guitarist learned off of a lot of these guys at Duquense. We all pay attention to what Dave, Poogie Bell, Sean Jones, and the rest of the PGH jazz musicians are doing. These guys are all the real deal, and Pittsburgh is lucky to have musicians of this caliber.
Thank you again for posting this. We're looking forward to those full episodes.
