Rachel Ray is the most popular cook in America, and she has her own TV show. I am not saying she is best chef out there. She is just well known as far as her cooking goes, I find it very sloppy. There are better chefs out there who could use the credit that Rachael Ray gets all the time. Sanjeev Kapoor is known the greatest chef of India, I think he is most annoying chef who is so fake that its oozing out of his every word that comes out of his mouth. He may be popular, but he is not best.

Sanjeev is definitely celebrated Indian chef, but people who are directly connected to an industry will usually agree with the statements that the most popular are most often not necessarily the most talented. For example, Shah Rukh Khan is far from being the best actor, but he is most successful isn't he?

sanjeev kapoor is a good chef but he is limited to indian cuisine (which in is one the 4 great cuisines along with Chinese, French and Italian). Rachael Ray is more accustomed to the western cuisine so its like comparing apples to oranges. Not denying the fact that Sanjeev has attempted to cook some western dishes, but they're very mediocre recipes.
