Yeah!!..."Walk don't run" by the Ventures...Excellent job my friend!...you should check out the venture's "Sleigh ride"..the intro sounds like "Walk don't run"...but then it proceeded to"Sleigh ride" licks!!
Impressive! I'd highly recommend the Jimmie Vaughan signature Fender Strat, with his "Tex-Mex" pickups, for this type of sound and top-of-the-line quality, at a rather affordable price, considering it's a Fender. He's another guitar guru to me, like Dick. If you check out my "favorites," I've got some GREAT JLV/Fabulous Thunderbirds performances saved. He kicks ass! :)
If I see one Ill be asking to try it out :) Jimmie Vaughan is amazing, I love the live video where he plays the doubleneck with brother Steevie Ray its Jaw-Droppin Stuff!!!
That's my favorite, too! Blows me away every time I watch it-- I'm addicted to it. (That, and I find JLV soooo HOT! LOL.) It's known as "The Family Guitar," aptly named, before the sold it in a charity auction. Generous but sad. Out of my bookmarked videos of him, my faves are: "My Babe," (both performances) "Powerful Stuff," his tribute to SRV in "Texas Flood," (kick ass!) and the 'Birds MTV Guest VJ spot where Jimmie plays the doubleneck-- BEHIND HIS HEAD!! Check it out!
That was great!..I like the Ventures!..walk don't run was one of their best!...i like their version of "sleigh ride" too..you ever heard of that?..you probly did!
this one is great! it reminds me of a great guitarist here in the Philippines. Are you familiar with a certain Ramon "RJ" Jacinto? I remember his rendition of this tune, and he even made a medley. He mixed it with "Diamond Head". Thanks for the Video! Looking forward to see more! Long live the Ventures! Banzai to all of us!
well done

2 is better, and a maple necked strat (means it's light and not dark) was a good choice.

I play guitar, and that sounded great, two questions though. What were you using for sound, what pedal and amp, and what color is your strat?
Khaled1Rules 3 years ago
Korg AXG1 guitar pedal (ebay £20) using either texas or twang setting & cheap 10w KUSTOM amp , my guitar is a black Encore strat (very cheap)
lilredroostie 3 years ago
the pedal, I couldn't find it anywhere.
