  • I think you have aliens in the background during your slow motion shots

  • I have that same Guinness poster, and I'm jealous of your Pre poster, got to get me one of those! We'd probably be buds IRL lol.

  • Oh.. so that's why my calves hurt so much after I started wearing NB Minimus.. Thanks for this video. Very informative.

  • Wow, thank you so much for this video, totally clarified it for me, I just got NB Minimus trails and went on a 5 mile run yesterday and now I am having a hard time walking bc of my calves -___-,

I wasn't rolling from arch to heel, just keeping my heel up.

    Thank you!!

  • I want to see someone running a whole marathon on the ball of his feet in a decent time.

  • love it. i've been working on this a lot myself. wonderful. I'm working on arm swing and how high to lift my knee/foot...turnover I guess. one step at a time! hehe. thanks for the video! I love grilled pizza!! it's the BEST

  • @rockdove21st no its not. its all natural

  • I run forefoot naturally but midfoot when i'm lazy haha.

  • I love barefoot running.

  • i'm learning to forefoot strike, and what i've learned from reading on the google barefoot group is to NOT run on the ball of your foot. it's a beginner mistake trying to overcompensate by thinking HEEL=BAD. people who've run barefoot their whole lives don't do this. they glide their foot into a whole foot landing. their calves aren't straining to hold their bodyweight up while on the ground. let the heel kiss the ground. relax... it's not a sprint.

  • @nawhead thanks for the tip! You're definitely right! I should have mentioned in my video that I come from a forefoot running background (I've been a forefoot striker in all of my running shoes ever since high school). Therefore I was describing barefoot running form from the perspective of someone who is used to being on their toes all the time. Would it be ok if I gave you a shout-out in my next video as I talk about this distinction?

  • @TheDailyRUN definitely! i think it's super important to not cripple yourself while learning to forefoot/midfoot strike (like me, oops!). being unable to walk might be discouraging for some ppl.

  • @TheDailyRUN My Personal Trainer said that you should try to pull your foot across the ground and try to run on grass or trails as much as possible.

  • @nawhead This is exactly what I do. I've been practicing barefoot running and my left foot is hurting me because of this.
