Actually, JLS haven't done better than Alexandra, back in August contestants earning were revealed and Alexandra had earnt more than JLS, which would generally show that she has done better than them, and is more successful. Also, she hasn't disappeared, she is recording her album, which she has spent time on, unlike JLS who seem to have a new one every week. :S

Alexander won because she couldn't just sing but always performed the song. Average joe public wants to see that if they are going to buy music. It's been that way since the 30's. Any professional musician should always feel humbled by any act or individual who makes everybodys lives seem just that bit nicer. Thats what music is.
