It generates ticketing money. .Why is it O.K. for GILL_NETTERS to completely close off stream mouths.. I'm a bank maggot, I spend thousands of dollars a year on rods, reels, waders, boots and tackle, and the only guide I ever went out with charged me $200, joined a hog line, wouldn't allow me to touch the damn rod and then fell asleep on the f...ing sled. @BongReaper503 It takes not less than $375 to be ready to do a guided trip with gas for truck boat, food, hot and cold drinks the deck hand that helps out and cooks the food for the clients on my boat .

With 8 to 10 people on my boat no way am I working all day for $250 .

What in Gods name are people doing fishing in such a tiny stream where the salmon are packed in like sardines?....There is no skill in this kind of fishing and the salmon have no chance whether the angler is fishing by fair means or foul....and by the looks of the fish those Russians caught, the salmon are getting close to spawning.....so why can't the fish be left in peace during this period?

@river2walk for one. thats not really a small stream. it just looks narrow in this little section. i fish this spot all the time. and we dont leave the fish in peace durring this time because if you want to catch a decent fish you wanna catch before they spawn and start turning color and getting soggy and they arent in freshwater the rest of the time.

If people ever thought for a minuite and realised their just robbing you as a fisherman and possibly costing you the fishing season.. Fish Hatcheries need returns to maintain sustained populations in river systems.. W/out Returning Adults they close fishing seasons to insure theres enough to spawn for future runs. It's funny. You know they want snaggers, lifters, liners, whatever you want to call them, to come because it's good business for the locals. But officially they condemn it. I've been a "liner" for 20 years. I've had game wardens watch me and I've never been questioned. As long as you don't jerk hard, they don't care. No reason to do that anyway. I'm very good at lining them in the mouth now so only a small percentage I foul hook. Of course everything for me is catch & release now a days.
