  • My love David O'Hara (Henry Howard) <3

  • I miss this show! Loved Jane Seymour, Anne Boleyn, Catherine Of Aragon and of course Cromwell :)

  • This girl from this show my little sister watches would have been perfect for Catherine Howard, though maybe a little young. I looked her up, her name is Brigit Mendler I think that is how u spell it.

  • I love how all their objects and positions reflect their personalities

  • I find it weird that Chapuys was never in the openings (or am I wrong?) while that french Ambassador we see like 2 times is in.

  • Sarah Bolger, ah man I was so happy to see her in the opening credits. I love her so much!!! <3

  • @marsflamesniper They sure made "Bloody Mary" a likable character in this show. I loved Bolger's performance and wow, what a beauty.

The real Lady Mary was a mass murdering psychopath.

  • I miss this show !

  • jonnyyy.....my king luv u

  • Henry Cavill never had enough screen time in my opinion. He was the best on the show specially on season 4 his performance as Charles Brandon was mesmerizing.

  • Anyone ever confuse the actresses that did Elizabeth and Anne Boleyn, i always do

  • My love Henry Cavill (Charles Brandon).

  • Best 38hrs of my life!

  • I have a major crush on lady mary <3

  • Is it me or is my favourite show mostly watched by girls? :p

  • @AmauryPenseur even i have the same doubt.....anywayz this show has the two most handsome guyz on earth and i guess u know who r they

  • i agree with the top comment. I saw people saying this about the intro before i had ever seen an episode and laughed about it. Now after i have seen all four seasons i get chills up my spine every time i hear it.

  • How the heck did the French ambassador guy get into the opening credits, and yet Anthony Brophy (Eustace Chapuys) didn't?!

  • Ahhhhh Max Brown is so gorgeous!!!

  • beautiful set for the series, beautiful costumes, beautiful people...it was made for the screen yes

  • lady mary :)

  • The glory days of Britain. Now the Kingdom has nothing to be proud of.

  • @DecmanReturns so true

  • me encanta!

  • so pleases sarah bolger has got a part in main credits- she deserved it. :)

  • I love Sarah bolger she's a very good actress , she should win an award for her role as Princess Mary

  • I wish to hell my country was as mighty as it was under Henry VIII and not the weak, gimp of a country it is now under David BLOODY Cameron!

  • i wonder if the queen sees the tudors.

  • @TheAudiorub thats a good question. i thought that 2 :)

  • I wish they would've started the series at the beginning of his reign, not when his marriage to Catherine of Aragon started to crumble

  • Sarah Bolger looks like the Ann Boleyn.

  • @RTO41 I know right!!!!

  • God, I cried my eyes out during the last two episodes of this series! Especially when Chapuys left Princess Mary to go back to Spain, and then, well, I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it. I just felt so bad for her because he was more of a dad to her, and Henry was more of a father, you know? I also felt it was well unfair for the guy who played Chapuys to always be featured in the end credits, instead of the opening ones. He showed up a lot! He was always listed as "And Also..."

  • I LOVE THE TUDORS AND JONATHAN RHYS <3 <3

  • This show is the best show I have ever seen in the entire 20 years of my life.

  • They should bring this show back

Henry was not the only popular Tudor

Start again and do Edward, Mary and Elizabeth's story

  • i guess no ones else noticed that you can hear the goblet that dropped from season 3 intro at 0:52 but it shows Torrance Coombs instead lol.

  • @scatnme2055

    It doesn't.

Its more like the second season.

  • I miss Anne!!!!

  • Perfect,Wonderful,Powerful,Fantastic,Super, this are a few words for Tudors !

  • I think season 2 is better because of anne

  • I love Torrance Coombs!

  • Duke of Suffolk (Henry Cavil) is winer of Survivor.

He survived from 1st to the last episode

  • I think season 2 and season 4 were the best :)

  • JRM , Henry Cavill and Torrance Coombs are the hottest Guys from This Season *__* .

  • it's a shame that the spanish ambassador is not in the credits! it's in the series from the first season!!

  • @starsailor0587

I agree. I don't understand why Marillac is in the credits while Chapuys isn't.

  • @starsailor0587 Yes YES! He should have been in the opening ones, not listed at the end! He's in almost every episode, even if it's just a small amount.

  • Sends a shiver down ye spine,

When whisked to a ruthless time.

  • This theme will always send shivers down my spine.

  • Most Brilliant show i have ever followed,

  • umm maybe they are british actors because "the tudors" were british, obviously your history isnt great

  • is it me or does Sarah Bolger in this clip look just like Natalie Dormer. Does anyone see or has it been said before & did i just missed it.

  • @kplistens

You maybe thinking about Jane Seymour.

The images of the rebels were used on season 3.

  • @kplistens agreed!!! she looks totally like natalie dormer.

  • @kplistens I can't believe how gorgeous Sarah Bolger turned out! I remember seeing her in In American when she was about 10 or 11.

  • The Costumes in this are absolutly excellent

  • My favs are: Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Henry Cavill, and i agree with TheHistoryfanatic.

  • The opening sequence is the only good part of this show..

  • The part that gets me is the ending of the opening where it shows all the people that died, great touch, I just finished this show and already I miss it, I don't care about historical accuracies as much as I do that it entertained me and was full of great story lines,

  • Comment removed

  • I never believed in Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Henry and his performance spoiled the series for me. It was annoying that he didn't age until the last 2 episodes, and, at that point gave up trying to speak with an English accent and sounded like Terry Wogan's grandpa for the rest of the series. At least this explained where little Prince Edward's cute irish accent came from though. The rest of the show was great though. I will miss it

  • Such rich, beautiful history.

  • They should do a series about edward ,mary and then the great queen herself elizabeth

  • Please, please continue this series with Elizabeth!!!

  • @MedievalEnglish Yes! But first I wish they'd do Edward and especially Mary, I LOVE Sarah Bolger's portrayal of her!

  • @MedievalEnglish and with Edward, Lady Jane and Mary!!!

  • @MedievalEnglish Well Edward and Mary come before Elizabeth.. even you must know that.

  • @peacedesertrose Even I must know that? I'm well aware of Edward and Mary, and also Lady Jane Grey.

From a pure production point of view, Elizabeth would be a better focus, then the producers wouldn't have to change the main character 3 times in a short span. Elizabeth's reign is much more well known and she still is one of the most admired and popular people in English history, even more than her father. Perhaps the events prior to her coronation could be summarised in an episode or 2.

  • @MedievalEnglish Yes, but your comment made it sound as if lets leave out Edward and Mary and even Lady Jane Grey because there not as important.. and cut straight to Elizabeth. Elizabeth has had quite a few films/television series about her.. why can't they focus on Edward and Mary for a change. Thats one of the things I liked about the Tudors, for once Mary was in the spotlight and focused on most out of the children.

  • @peacedesertrose I don't believe they are as important. The reason Elizabeth has had so much attention is because of the importance of her reign, it's simply as a whole more entertaining and more significant. Edward was often ill and unfit to rule, Jane's rule was so short it's rarely mentioned & Mary was hated by most of England and reigned only 5 years - almost every series or movie around Elizabeth features Mary anyway. All 3 monarchs had the throne for a comparatively short amount of time.

  • @MedievalEnglish You're right, but I do think it would be wrong that if they did conclude The Tudor's.. to start with Elizabeth becoming Queen. As it is called The Tudor's after all so surely you would include all the monarchs. Having said that why didn't they start with Henry VII? But I guess they go for what she more entertaining and important to history.

  • @peacedesertrose Generally when making historical dramas they only want to write them about well documented figures - it makes it easier to write and means they don't have to make content up - as great as the Tudors is its focus is more on entertaining an audience than being historically accurate. Henry VIII was the safer bet - there's much more source material and interest. Though now you mention it I would love a series about Henry VII, his son Arthur Tudor and the war of the roses.

  • Torrance Coombs <3

  • David is awesome :)!

  • jonathan is hot too.

  • max von sydow is swedish lobito feroz espanol?

  • ...Yay Tamzin!!!.....

  • You be lovin this song

  • I am proud that the House of Tudor came from Wales! =) Cymru

  • Farewell... Tudors

    :(

  • For anyone in the UK - The Tudor's season 4

**BBC HD and BBC 2 at 21:45 GMT

Also available via the BBC iPlayer from copyright permitted countries.

I have been asked SO MUCH about the start date, due to my BBC contacts.. It was promised August/September 2010, then October, then November. Now finally its January 2011 - WHICH MAKES IS ALMOST A YEAR LATE compared to some other countries. A Slowtime Co-Production.

  • I'm totally in love with these series. What a pity there are only four seasons. I miss this show so much, especially beautiful Natalie Dormer, Sarah Bolger, Henry Cavill and JRM <3

  • @Nieprzyjemna who knows? Maybe they will carry on after Henry VIII's story, after all Queen Elizabeth I was one of Britains most famous monarch too and of course she is a Tudor!

  • ma quindi è finita la serie???non hanno fatto il continuo con le figlie??

Cmq la più bella serie tv di sempre, proprio un bel lavoro!!!!!!!

  • This op gives me shivers everytime the show starts. Amazing. I never knew, that history can be so interesting :> I wish I could play Lady Mary.

  • Henry Cavill is so hot!!!!

Even better than Jonathan and thats hard to top ;)

  • surrey is eh die coolste sau im ganzen film. der is mir von allen adligen leutchens noch der liebste. immer ins wirtshaus mit dem gemeinen volk und nen lockren spruch ^^

  • haha I loved that the used the mistress scene to represent Culpeper in this season who better than him lol they actually used both scenes/ me encanto que ahora usaran la esena de la amante para representar a Culpeper de hecho utilizaron las dos esenas, jaja quien mejor que el

  • Jonathan Rhys Meyers is my fav and Natalie Dormer although she died in season two

  • torrance Coombs is so hot!

  • I love how Kathryn Howard has a mask, to symbolize that she's not exactly what Henry thinks. The rose on her gown was also a nice touch--"The Rose Without a Thorn." I don't even think it had thorns!

  • Torraaance :D <33

  • Naah, I like the earlier opening credits better

  • Right, I'm sorry but The Tudors is English history- everything that happens here is English- and no offense, but it would kinda ruin it if the actors were American- or any other country for that matter.

  • Ahh el dulce sabor de utópica gloria..!!!

  • @lobitoferoz18 hey what language is that it sounds cool

  • @amphetaminehamster its spanish :)

  • its about time sarah bolger got a decent credit

  • I miss Natalie Dormer, too. My heart beats faster when they show her this one second in the opening credits. :)

  • what's is the song called ?

  • Wow by watching this show...I can truly say that I learned a lot of history!!The show is awesome but it's sad how Katherine Howard and the other wives were executed

  • @Nelsonhojax15. Exactly thankyou. yeah I wasn't excluding Elizabeth totally, she's my hero for history of women power, but it was nice to have Mary in the media spotlight for once and not just Elizabeth.

  • WHEN?????? is this going to be on the BBC???? Its been ages since it was aired in US and Ireland. Made the mistake of watching an ep when I was in Ireland. Now I cantw ait to see the series!

  • @KazzaLuvsByrne Has it actually aired in the US, too? It's certainly been here on CBC in Canada.

  • ok watching the opening credits... i noticed king henry's beard grows and grows o_O

  • @petter830 He's also going grey.

  • I miss Natalie Dormer

  • Finally Sarah Bolger is on maincast! Great! I think she deserved it in season 3 still.

  • Why has she got a mask?

  • I have never seen a Tudor anything with them showing more Mary than Elizabeth, except this one. I'm glad they were able to show people how Mary became what she became because of her troubled life.

  • @mckfrr I agree completely. Not that Elizabeth isn't cool, but it was a real treat to see how this poor sweet girl was twisted and tortured by fate and shaped into what history calls "bloody mary."

  • @Nelsonhojax15 You have to admit, though, she made a few mistakes!! But I've always felt rather sorry for Mary.

  • Season 4 Finished Ages Ago Here In Ireland On TV3 It Was Really Good But Sad Too :-(

  • Awesome, i only wish Elizabeth and Edward were included in the opening, its onlt fair, Mary got some spotlight why not her brother and sister?

  • @HistoryLover1550 This is like the first time Mary has got some spotlight over her siblings.

  • @hi1431bye Ikr! I think Elizabeth and Edward should have filled in the credit spots left by Catherine Howard and Culpepper in my opinion, its only fair they get some spotlight along with Mary even though you don't see much of the Tudor kids in the show.

  • @HistoryLover1550 Mary is more important character in this story and she should be in the titles at least in the third season like the spanish ambassador..why put they the french ambassador here????

  • @astrofabio68 You do have a point there.

  • The problem with this series, is the fact that by the time Henry married Katherine Howard in 1540, he was old (49) and extremely fat! certainly nothing like the young good looking stud who plays him.

  • @kurwayork wow stop saying the exact same thing on every single tudors video there is on youtube. It's annoying. If you hate things that are historically inacurate, stop hoping to be entertained by a popular tv series. Richard Clark, is that you?

  • Unless they do it like they did in season 3 and show 2 wives (since there's only one left) ^.^ that would be so great!

  • the 4th season just started in Portugal! can't wait to see it! ;D It's a shame they won't make more... =( such a great show!

  • I Really Wonna see Series 4 Hurry up BBC2 and put it on!

  • @8oOoAiroOo8

I know that, but I want buy the CD with all episodes to my collection :D

  • I am so buying the season DVD's.

  • I watched first three seasons and I'm waiting for fourth in Poland :D

  • @moniskazz

You can find it on the internet. It was released in April this year.

  • @TheHistoryfanatic yeah american actors butcher everything :P

  • @eternityscharm I wouldn't say they butcher everything...but then again I've heard plenty with terrible British accents, so on this you're probably right.

  • @TheHistoryfanatic as an American...I agree 100% lol. I'd rather hear a real accent then a bad one.

  • @TheHistoryfanatic That's bias. Many great American actors have acted in British productions and have done a fabulous job. I suppose all principal actors in the U.S. should be American instead of pompous Brits.

  • @Kryptonian250 I think that if a show is about British history with historical significance, then it is right that only British actors or actors from Europe should portray those characters, after all it is their heritage and history. As should if a show in the US is about American history, then American actors should be casted in those important roles. It's the same as casting British actors in the three main kids in Harry Potter instead of American kids.

  • @BetaArtemis You really do not know much about that do you? Prince Philip was portrayed by James Cromwell, an AMERICAN actor in a movie about Former PM Tony Blair and the Queen!

Many actors have done different nationalities like Stephen Moyer has portrayed a vampire from the American South.

So let's say an American of Irish ancestry wants to portray an Irishman on Irish Television should he not be picked because its his heritage?

  • @Kryptonian250 Ok first of all don't twist my words, I didn't say that actors can't portray other nationalities, I've seen plenty of great actors who portray different nationalities and I could care less as long as they are good actors. Second of all, all I meant was that if they do want a whole of cast of certain nationality to portray a specific group, it is not wrong. People may not like it, but it's wrong or evil.

  • @TheHistoryfanatic I agree...since this is English history, not American history :)

  • Comment removed

  • @TheHistoryfanatic Well, some Americans are great actors, just because you hate America that doesn't mean that you start hating their talent. I am English but I love America. Don't let your hate blind you into hating talent.

  • @TheHistoryfanatic It is good, however I don't mind about the Actors nationality, as long as they can perform the role well.

  • So when is this being shown in the UK!?!?!

  • @ShodanMark The BBC had a 'draft' plan to start showing Series 4 of The Tudors in late August, but I think September is more likely. **It would be historically interesting if its September.. Pope Benedict is due to visit in September, it's only the second official visit by the head of the Catholic Church since Henry VIII declared himself head of the church in England more than 500 years ago.

  • @Dan17live Thanks for the info! Yes, that would be interesting indeed.

  • I love this show...the only thing is that they would have chosen someone red hair-blondish for the King as Henry VIII looked like that...it would have looked more realistic.

  • I keep missing all the episodes in this series (it's currently running here Henry just met parr)!! I missed what seemed like a week or two and when I was back cath Howard was gone and no mention! Lol. What is puzzling is the casting, looks wise (they're all great actors); eg Joss stone is just as attractive as the other queens; Aragon and parr are far too old etc. Also although merchant is enchanting she is unconventionally beautiful and that doesn't really work. But great show

  • I miss Cromwell .. :(

  • i want see it u.u

  • okay ur jokin rite? in the end frivolous things like male heirs dont matter all that matters is the one you love as for him gettin rid oF Anne he didnt even know Jane Seymour would give him a son so i think you better grow up then come have a conversation with me

  • @Scoob505 During the time of King Henry, he was a English Ruler as we all know, but the irish stepped in after the church burnings (The Tudors Season 3 Episode 6) The irish wasnt a part of the kingdom until the riots began, so technically, England (way diferent from Ireland) seperated after King Henry passed on. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a England Native. Natalie Dormer is a NY girl, and other actors, and actresses are from around the world.

  • @DaveMatthewBandLover JRM is irish FYI

  • in the opening credits of each season you get to see what the starring characters are all about with Henry you always see him lookin at one of his wives in a seductive way with Brandon you see army with Anne you see queendom

  • I used to criticize The Tudors on its first season for historical inconsistencies but after season 2 ,I was totally impressed with the level of depth of characters and the performance of the cast with special mention to the best The Tudors character-ANNE BOLEYN...........i miss Natalie Dormer

  • I love how they kept so many images from the past opening credits.

  • I absolutely adore Sarah Bolger, tis about time they stuck her in the credits. Agreed, I'm not a huge Mary fan, but she does alot of justice to her, and if Mary hadn't gone completely off the deep end, she would've made a great Queen.

  • Why are so many of the actors in this Irish?

  • @Scoob505 The Tudors is filmed in Ireland.. so I suppose they sought out the local talent haha

  • @NatalieElizabeth24 and great talent it is...

  • @Scoob505 So ???

  • @Scoob505 So ???

  • @Scoob505 lol it doesnt need to be english or american to be a good (or great) actor.

  • I've been told that the series will end with Henry's death. I would love to see Sarah continue the series as Queen. It's the Tudors after all, not just Henry VIII. There are 4 other rulers in the Tudor line.

  • Anne Boleyn will haunt England forever becuz her death was an injustice

  • @donnylovesayesha1 Hear Hear, it was an injustice.

  • @jerichoskidd yeah bcuz england cant stop writing books plays tv shows or movies about this queen and not just because she was Elizabeth I's mother cause when thy write about her they barely mention Elizabeth and besides Elizabeth becoming England's stronges most memorable monarch has something to do with the haunting

  • @donnylovesayesha1 that is very true, Anne Boelyn and Elizabeth I were both very strong. And Anne loved henry like none of his other wives did. And Elizabeth made the Tudor Dynasty as memorable as her father. Her Reign as Queen by herself with no man by her side, was bold and daring. And one of the main things that made her legendary.

  • @jerichoskidd that's what i say i always knew Anne love Henry more than any other i think in later years Henry came to regret his decision to have her executed but it was too late to do anything about it. Henry was ungrateful he had a wife who appreciated him and he kills her

  • In all fairness i think Katherine of Aragon loved him the most. They were together 17 years and even when they seperated she continued to call herself his queen. As for the regretting to Anne's execution is nosense. Getting rid of her meant he got a son and heir. So by killing one (Anne) he saved thousands of lives by avoiding another civil war.

  • @donnylovesayesha1 do you really think she loved Henry truely? I never watched The Tudors, but from the information I gathered, she was just plotting all the time.. I think the one that loved him was her sister, Mary.. she was his mistress and really in love with him, he just picked anne instead of her because mary wasn't as smart and enchanting.. and of course, I think the one he really loved was jane seymour..

  • @happiehtoast mary boleyn was a bitch, she never loved henry, you are telling the plot of the other boleyn girl but its not true, anne really loved him and he loved her, she was his great love, if you dont believe me read some books about henry

  • @stormowl7 I'm pretty sure it's just called "Main Title", composed by Trevor Morris. I know you can get it off iTunes.

  • Btw I think Jonathan should have gained some weight because by now Henry VIII was 150kgs .

  • @anandodasgupta , I believe JRM did gain some weight (just not a whole lot)..and you are right, by this time in his life Henry was incredibly obese, unattractive and had lots of sores on his legs...but I think it would be pretty difficult to make JRM ever look unsexy or unattractive :)
