Some other Great Masters are Shawn Lane & Vinnie Moore.

Michael, Shawn and Vinnie have been widely imitated for years but never surpassed and remain IMHO the true greats of contemporary Guitar playing.

That's because his picking style is centered around his picking hand being anchored onto his guitar with 3 fingers when he does some ultra fast tremelo and/or alternate picking.

yes, he is better live IMO (In my opinion). I asked this exact question a while back because I couldn't believe my own ears. He is God along with others but he is God. Thing is, live he can show emotion and soul which a studio recording cannot and he improvises live which adds to the song and his own unique way. :)

There's a reason most left'y switch over to righted style. Go to ebay and doa search on left vs right handed guitars and then compare price. It's a couple hundred lefts to thousands od righty. That was one of the main reason why I switched. All the really bad ass guitars were right handed, anyways IMO.

The tone of Michael's guitar here is his signature overdrive sound right? But when you check other videos of him using the Armorflame, like his new columns on Guitar World, it sounds like distortion, not overdrive, to me.

Is it a setting on guitar, like low tone and middle pickup? Or the pedals, like high gain? or maybe just the way it was recorded?

I'm just confused.
