  • this song is so sad... it has no hope

  • super Song, großer Musiker

  • This song has so much. Acceptance Acceptance of people who are different and well considered Lepers. Cause Aides was the leapercy of the Modern age and so was being Gay and on top of that a Philadelphia Lawyer who was gay and had aides OMG they probably had a bird in there pants over that one those stuffed shirts. Well I worked in Phillie and there were a ton of Skulls in those closests. I worked for lawyers to but they were Jewish not Wasps and I like the lawyers I worked for.

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • The Chorus could go on forever and forever and forever.....just pure brilliant!

  • @MrDigitidog go away!!! dick head!!!!

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • what year was THE BOSS playing here?

  • @PreciousRubine

Hard to say but it looks like his Tom Joad era with his moustache. But since it's a sing for a film out in '93, I'm thinking it was '94 or even '95. The Grammys always seem behind.

  • two words: THE BOSS.

  • CHEESE SPREAD

  • EZ SZERINT PHILADELPHIA A +OLDÁS

  • @qiqqrosatanbabcika te valamit nem értesz

  • grande canzone realistica,,,ma anche molto trieste,,mi fa piangere!!!!!

  • wow this came out in the 90's wow I wish music was still like that things were alot more fun then even if it was advertised as if it wasn't don't worry it was I was there.

  • Walkin' around the South Philly smokin' a cig and listening to this song.... I miss those times.

  • If anybody can cover this song….

    youtube.com/watch?v=GJfJyPMk2rU

  • I notice Bobby King in the video but the black guy with the hat...is that Randy Jackson?

  • among many covers, which this song has Melissa Etheridge version was the best. Bruce and Melissa they just rock!!!! youtube.com/watch?v=GJfJyPMk2rU&feature=rec-LGOUT-exp_fresh+div-1r-9-HM

  • oh brother are you gona leave me wasting away?? what lyrics!!

  • This is a song that bring a tear to the eye it's amazing!!!!!!!

  • Oh yeah, great song. REally mellow compared to what I had grown up with but very emotional. Thx for sharing.

  • Genial - thx.. ;-)

  • более чем красивая мелодия, исполнение раскошное, и текст хороший!

  • i love this song !!!:0)

  • probably one of my favourite songs of all time

  • Check out Grace Bawden's version of this lovely song.

  • Listen Bruce, this is best song ever anybody could write

  • puede alguien traducir la letra de este tema al castellano? se lo voy a agradecer.

  • De la musique q'on ne se lasse pas d'écouter ...

  • For my mind, the performance must be haunting - makes the song much more powerful. The colors in some other videos make you forget about the words.

  • Just speechless..........................

  • I love BOSS and all of his songs...the most like ,,The river" I can't live without it...And I love his amazing voice...he is such as the best singer...like the best artist...I love him and Heath Ledger. They have got sth in common together. They are/were like the best people...like some magic people...Marilyn Monroe, James Dean...I don't know why, but I think that they'are the same kind of amazing, painful, unforgetable people...

  • In Poland today is not tolerance - but the film watching people with tears in his eyes - fortunately not all have hearts of stone. A beautiful movie, and Bruce is a beautifully sung.

  • I love this song so much!!!!!

  • I walked a thousand miles just to slip this skin

  • My God... This song is so beautiful... When I listen to it, there are always tears in my eyes... Ideal.

  • What can I say? He's the BOSS.

  • Why is the security guy on the left singing?

  • @BonScottAC - Kimbo Slice.

  • @BonScottAC Thats Bobby King, not his security guard lol. And I want to say next to him on bass is Randy Jackson.

  • @jasondaman100

No that's not Randy Jackson, but good guess. It's actually Tom Sims, who was the bass player in Springsteen's touring band in the early '90's. Looks like Randy though.

  • @BonScottAC Who wouldn't man?.. Lame question...

  • @BonScottAC cause it is one of Springsteens best song and is passed to one of the best movies ...

  • Tema encantador, hermoso¡¡¡

  • philadelphia PHILLIES just won me money ahhHAHAHA

  • my favourite song to sleep to and it still is!

  • What he does with hes wives are his private issues.

    He's not anti-cop, he's anti repression!

  • BRUCE IS DA MAN!

  • BRUCE - LEGEND

  • why?

  • i LOVE THIS VERSION ITS A PITY ITS NOT COMPLETE

  • nice cut at the end.... argh....

  • every time i listen to this song it makes me want to watch the film ! what an artist ! what a song ! what a film !

  • Song is so powerful anyway, but this live performance is just haunting. Even though it may have been written specifically about AIDS, I think everyone can resonate with the themes of loneliness, rejection, hopelessness, fear, etc. An amazing song.

On a lighter note, couldn't The Boss find a hairbrush before going on stage?! Yikes!

  • He's the boss

    He don't need no hairbrush!!

  • word up mate!

  • @Vikkisnake

Why make personal remarks on someone you respect as an artist?

It is none of your business, is it?

He can do whatever he wants with his hair, girl!

He's a natural guy, no greasy teen star. Have you noticed?

    Besides:

His hair is great! Why would he care what girls like you think? Why?

Take a good look at yourself before you judge the looks of others....

  • @karadiberlino It was a simply, light hearted joke, one that I'm sure The Boss himself would've smiled at. He has a sense of humor, something you obviously lack.

  • @Vikkisnake i think it was on purpose. in the videoclip of this song, he looks like a homeless guy, which fits the song.

  • @Vikkisnake he probably didn't comb his hair to add to how haunting this performance of this song is.

  • @Vikkisnake Personally, I like the edgy, rough-neck look. Different strokes for all us folks, I suppose.

  • u know what else is rubibsh? YOU! look at all the thumbs down u got, fuck face

  • seeing him live on saturday at glastonbury. really can't wait!

  • PELLE D'OCA <3

  • I'm seeing him live tomorrow ;D WEHOOOO

  • WHAT YEAR WAS THIS? 1998/98?

  • 1995 I think he won the Grammy for best song from a film for this.

  • i think it was also the oscar for "best original song"

  • Love you Bruce<333

  • "The night is fallin" "I can see my self fading away" that's deep and I feel that that right now, although i dont have AIDS but life is that.

  • Great song, the Boss is awesome.

Though, its uncommon to see bodybuilders as backup singers lol. (Notice the big guy wearing the white t-shirt to the left of bruce)

  • World Class!

  • The Boss!

  • i remember this performance. he was mesmerizing, and bathed in this light, looked like an angel. one can't escaped being profoundly touched by this song.

  • Ain't nobody the devil but yourself.
