Escape from Rancho Bernardo Fire

Yeah in Westwood everbody was trying to get out on Duenda/Poblado and traffic was backing up like crazy. The fire was getting closer and the traffic was packed so my parents drove on the opposite side of the road to get out (figuring who the hell would drive Toward that inferno?)

well Duenda/ Poblado is a main street for most in Westwood

man this is must've been really scary. i go to RBHS so it sux to hear that some of my friends and classmates had their houses burn down. good thing everything is fine and they're rebuilding their homes. good thing you got away quickly too

Live in Westwood and was there for the evacuation, surrounded by fire and stuck in traffic(bad combination). I took my motorcycle and followed my parents closely in case we needed to get out on two wheels.

was this westwood? like you said, half the people were still asleep, i didnt wake up until houses were already on fire. such a scary morning, glad everyones ok though

is your house okay?! our home of 10 years burned down on aguamiel. luckily we had JUST moved to 4s ranch, flames came within 100 feet of us there but our new house is okay. the house that burned was for sale and no one was in it thank god. but rancho bernardo got it so bad!
