sweet cover dude! hope you get some better recording equipment cause it's worth it for a good drummer :)
you said at one point that the larger china was a wuhan and then later that it was an AA. which is it? from where i can see it looks like it has a turkish bell, which would make it the AA but i can't be sure from this angle :S
@metalmanky306 Thanks for the compliment. I've been looking into some better recording equipment as well, but can't afford it at the moment.
Sorry about the confusion, I didn't realized that I had messed that up. To clarify, the smaller one is a 16" Wuhan and the larger one is an 18" AA. There is no 18" Wuhan as I had messed that up somehow when i wrote that comment, lol. Thanks for pointing that out though
@bikefreak77 thought that might be it but i wanted to ask and make sure :)
i've got logitech usb microphone that you can get for about £20 on ebay and it'll pick up a room surprisingly well, i've used it for my kit a couple of times and it's pretty damn good, especially for the price. good luck anyways :D
well, good job on the stick flipping. your drums are too loud for the recording of the rest of the song, if you could even the sound out that wold be great
you are very great man!! i am italian i dont speak so much good english but i say only then i like youre freestyling man!! XD XD You are the best ahah great work man!!
i think you are indestructible on the drums.(when it comes to the drums...whatever)... jk though.... you are amazing though....not quite indestructible. very awesome though....one of my favorite songs too.
Very good. I find it amusing how flame wars start when the real song is played by the original drummer, but on some random guy who covers, everyone gives good criticism. I don't have any myself i thought it was very good :p
Probably because the people who cover this stuff do it for fun and other peoples enjoyment, whilst the original drummer who wrote the song and whatnot, does it as a job.
It's actually an 18" Wuhan china that I'm riding on. The crash that I occasionally hit during the chorus is a Sabian AA 18" Medium Thin crash. Thanks for commenting and asking
Man, fucking awesome cover dude. I love the fuck out of some Disturbed... I myself seem to get lost in the drum beats and just the whole sound of how they sound together. ROCK THE FUCK ON!
well, in my personal opinion, I think that doing stick tricks while drumming s a bit too macho. Your drumming style does look very relaxed though. :) sry but just my opinion, keep doing it if you feel like it
I don't normally do them, because I agree that they're pretty tacky. That being said, I was just messing around for the hell of it. Thanks for the compliment about being relaxed, and for explaining what you meant.
First of all I would like to agree to all the compliments that have been already given.
But the most amazing thing about your style is, that you show how much time you have between every single stroke to do all the stick tricks. I had never thought that stuff like this could be played relaxed and that you relly have that much time. But you showed that the relaxed way is the best. Especially the two crash strokes on 1:47 are pretty cool. So respect and keep on rockin'!! You're cool man!
Thanks man, I appreciate everything you've said. I try to play intensely while staying relaxed, and I'm glad you noticed. And you're right, there is actually a lot of space between all the strokes, giving time to breathe and relax (or try to learn spins, haha).
First of all I would like to agree with all the compliments that have already been given.
But what is the most amazing about your relaxed style is, that you show how much time you have where you can do stuff like stick tricks and whatever. I have never thought to have that much time between all the seperate strokes - but I see right now. Especially the two crash strokes on 1:47 are cool. So much time. I wished to have your style. So - keep rockin'. You're cool!!!
Thanks. One of my goals is to try and stay relaxed while I play, it helps me play longer, faster, and with less strain. You're right as well, Neil is a great example of that. Thanks again for commenting
lol I was never good at them. There was a couple second break in a song and I decided to try one. The stick went way higher than I intended, and I looked up to try to catch it and it hit me in the eye lol
Hey man. You did what you wanted and made it your own. Sure you didn't play it the exact way but you played it YOUR way. That is how iwould think about it.
Thanks asshole, now while I'm busy working at something productive, why don't you go and douse yourself in gasoline? When you're done, why don't you give me a shout and I'll light it up for you. After awhile, you'll become a steaming pile of ashes, and I'll come by and piss on you. Now how about commenting on someone else's video, douchebag?
Hey you know what man. I have watched most of the drum cover vids out there on you tube. I think your one of the better ones out there for sure. The stick flips are a little goofy, because it takes you a while to get your grip back.. but you still hit and keep time. I respect that. keep kicking ass bro!
Thanks man. Yeah, I normally only spin a little with the left hand and thought I'd give the flips a try. I agree that they look kinda stupid, haha, but good fun to try now and then. And I definitely appreciate the compliment for sure, so thanks again.
nice solo in the begining...try keeping up with the beat and ya need to move ur foot a bit faster...very slow seems like with the foot...if u get those down i guarntee u can be raw as hell in a year...ps.wtf is wrong with ur drumkit???its eather that,or the shitty camera...lol...holla at me...
thanks for the feedback man, but it's just slow because i put the song on in windows movie maker after i played it to my headphones. That's why it sounds like I'm dragging and that the bass is slow; it's not perfectly in sync. I admit that the kit doesn't sound the greatest either, but it's also because the camera microphone is terrible for this, lol. Thanks again for the compliment man
dude, could you just tell me what you mean by noise? i appreciate feedback, so if you could explain instead of flaming Loutjuh1991 that would be great

Excellent cover man, I love that you seemed to put your own style to it.
The only thing I can say though, is your bass sounds... strange... clacky almost?

Nice job.
