Religion is basically a learned habit of something one thinks should be their main focus. Money worshipers pay homage to mamon. They serve it. They fellowship with those of similar "faith". They look out for each other which is how they avoid the law or twist it to their purpose. They love their friends and enemies and are eager to loan money to take an interest in them
Hi, Simon! My ancestors are Irish and Cherokee. I think they'd think we are a mentally ill culture /society with our obsession with money and looking out for the welfare of the self versus the welfare of the tribe/community.. I think we do live in a very sick, spiritually bankrupt society today. Very sad.
First off, I love your art!!! You are jumping far here. I can trace my ancestors. They had to survive in extreme temps. Somehow out of that , they still created, like putting the fur in a pattern and then on to embelish with beadwork. What would they think of today's greed and economy? Perhaps they would wonder why people don't take care of each other like they did.
Great painting!!! Your a good artist!!! I think our ancestors would be horrified because 1: we have so much new technology that they could'nt even imagine!!! And 2: we have lost alot of respect for other people and are morals not all of us have but most of us. Anyways keep up the good work!!!
great painting...love the colours:) as far as if our ancestors had to see us now, I think they would be horrified at how the world has lost all its morales...
We weren't in the caves at the time so who knows their motivation. Even if the first ones weren't done as art, I'm sure that some cave woman saw it and wanted it in her cave, too. lol And maybe it is fortunate that "we" can't actually get together with "those from the past" although the image of Madoff in stocks in the town square where people could spit & throw rotten bits of food holds a certain level of appeal. Might flames possibly be involved? No one expected the Spanish Inquisition!
