NO! do not buy balloons from non-balloon stores they are cheap and old which means they will "pop". I use Qualatex balloons which have a date code on the bag you should check. Don't buy balloons (260's) that are older then 18 months. The code is near the UPCode and it is 5 numbers. Example "00109" the 001 is the day of the year and the 09 the year, so 00109 is new years day of 2009

Excellent instruction. You have a gift for teaching. A lot of people who demonstrate balloon twisting leave out critical tips like how to make a "quiet" ear twist. Keep it up!

A lot of people have a problem with making the petals. I even get pops when I'm making the flower or soon after. Try working with 160's if your hands are small and your having a hard time. Doing the 6 petals with a 160 is much easer and its a good way to get the twist down before moving on to 260's.

My problem with this figure is: My hands are too small, I can't hold on all these segments:) Is it a strange problem? Yes, we really need to make the balloon very soft, otherwise one petal or two will pop or shrink.
I still get a petal that pops from time to time. If you can use 160 balloons they are easer to twist and do not pop as much. If not just let more air out and that should work. A good tip for new twisters is not to try and make 6 petals but to do 4. This is done by twisting the balloon in the center and not in to thirds.
I had a question from a twister on this balloon flower. The problem is one of the petals kept popping after the flower was made. To fix this you have to let more air out of the balloon that is used for the petals. The softer the balloons is at the start the less pops you will have. Also this is a hard twist to master but if you start with a 160 for the flower top you will get the idea much faster and then work your way up to using 260 balloons.

I can appreciate the fact that whenever you are doing something complex, you hold the balloon up to the camera, this makes it easier to see what you are doing. I also like the way there is a black background in the shot, so many people do these "how to make a flower balloon" videos in their messy, cluttered bedrooms - this makes for a TERRIBLE background! But I like the way this background is black and clean.
I worked at a balloon decor company, & this is the way my boss made his. I do mine differently. See my vid, "Balloon Flower", for details. Both concepts look nice, but my way takes more time.

Take a deep breath and blow.......
Also squeeze the bubble on the bottom forcing the air to inflate at the end.
