i loved the ghost busters toy line i remember one night dad came home from work he had a toys r us bag and in it was the ecto 1 and the X cop ghost figure
Recently I was at my cousin's college for family weekend seeing an acapella band named Chapter 6. It was around Halloween so when they were giving away CDs to people, they asked horror movie trivia questions to determine winners. One of their questions was "What movie seemed like a horror movie when you were a kid in the 80's but actually was a comedy?". I shot my hand up, said "Ghostbusters", won the CD. Good times.
The funny thing is that as a kid, the films sense of humor went completely over my head, especially Murrays dry, witty, and sarcastic Peter. Ghostbusters was a serious horror movie for serious people. Not a game! It wasn't till I reached the wisened age of, oh, twelve, that I realized, "Whoa, dude, this is a comedy!" Hah!
I had (key being had) pretty much the entire original Ghostbusters line. I could dig some up, there are SO many in my dads basement that it is intense, but the poor things are probably so beaten up. Oh hindsight. But I'll never forget a huge package coming in the mail when I was (also) about five, opening it up and BAM, Grandma sent the freaking firehouse. Great day! And make sure to check Zombieland out, major tributes to Ghostbusters. All I'm saying!
I remember the firehouse came with slime lol, I used to have al of the same toys as you did to. I still have the ghost trap toy.

To paraphrase the famous question, if a show is on television and nobody watches it, is it really on?

Sweet, strangely enough, I bought the Gozer figure last week!
Really nice model, shame it's out of scale with the mattel figures tho.
