It's easy to settle in to a safe routine after all these years, but the best stuff I've ever done has come from being in the hot seat, being worried about what happens when it's Out There and people see it/use it.

And it's only cliché if it's a tawdry fill in for real depth and meaning and insight; all of those things I experienced while watching.
