In order to pay off the debt, we need to raise revenue (taxes)! These are the same people who support the wars, but cry for the rich at the mere mention of raising taxes. The poor send their children to fight, the absolute least the rich can do is at least pay for the war they are sending us to fight but they don't even want to do that!
@bradjbourgeois73 Glad to see that there are some americans who look at the big picture. If you fight wars it costs bigtime, unfortunately republicans dont see this because its young working class americans who die.Thats the way it works here in the uk and the conservatives dont mind tipping their hats in respect of the dead but its not that bad as long as none of their family have to do it.Wonder how many billions it has cost the usa and the uk to date.
How come the Tea party claims to be NOT a political one sided organization but they endorse only republicans? Maybe not everyone but so far no democrats
Did anyone see Obama on 60 minutes tonight?!?!?!1 He said:
"And so, one of the things I'm trying to figure out is, how can we make sure that civility is interesting. (LAUGHTER)"
Ask yourself - why is he spending all this time trying to figure out how to make being civil seem interesting? Because then he and the government can control us easier!
People need to get their heads out of their asses. They say we're here to help the needy and the working class while they spend spend spend and fly around in style and are chauffered in lmousines. They where the finest apparel and eat the best cuisine. They have the best security and the most health care. Politicians are the RICH! They spend what we earn and they don't care about the debt because they will never be without anything they want because they will take it from you!
I find it hilarious you call these tea parties. you do realize that the tea parties were created because the king of england was taking money from americans for pentance to the king himself. "taxation without representation". which is the exact opposite of what obamas doing, hes taxing the rich to help keep the poor and hurting americans afloat. THAT IS REPRESENTATION idiots. he is balancing the wage gap and saving lives. your greed has driven you to hypocracy and stupidity. get your facts right
Dude Im pissed these three sucked. Its not the first time. I was pissed, it could and should have been a more productive day. Its their fault all day long. Im not a conservative I believe in gay rights affirative action Im not pro- choice but there is a bunch Im for, and the Pulic School System ain't one of them. What has home schooling have to do with this?
Some of these protesters who were all for the most part McCain supporters are still angry about losing the election and have not gotten over it. They are back out there again to vent their anger as if being loud and obnoxious is going to over turn the election. Protest fine..no problem, but some of them are just annoying.
No were not upset at losing this election No one except moderates wanted Mac anyway. AIm happy Obama won I voted Mac oh no I voted Palin but win some lose some
Fuck you are a retard! Bush gets us further in debt and you're right to criticize him for that, but Barack got us over 2 trillion dollars more into debt which is way more spending then Bush signed on to in his entire 8 years in office and he did it just in his first 2 months in office... and brainwashed idiots like you say seig heil when Barack does it. If you think one dime of my paycheck belongs to you then I have a bullet for you thief!
first, he had to do this or thousands of americans would have lost their jobs, homes, lives. banks and car industry would have folded. hes already working on paying it back. REAL AMERICANS understand that its their civic duty to help other americans. your ideas are based on greed and if thats how you want it move to cuba or N.Korea douchebag
No moron, greed is when you take money from everyone and give it to a company that is failing to compete because they have allowed their greedy workers to dictate their own wages and, ironically they are losing their jobs for their stupid behavior. Greed is rewarding people for maxing out ten credit cards, or getting financed on houses they can't afford and then giving them other people's money to pay for it. In a capitalist society we do not reward stupidity at the expense of responsibilty.
yeah, in a capitolist society, you would let every poor and downtrodden individual die... because they didnt have parents golden nipples to suckle on. pure capitolsm doesnt work, the brunt of our people would fail in that society and when we failed we would revolt, and i would come to your house, and steal your shit.... we need a balancing of the wage grade, or the rich would take it all, and then i would kill them and take it
Americans feed starving children around the world, we give to countless charities, and we have churches and volunteer groups that help the poor in their communities. You idiot! Help yourself and quit believing that some democrat is going to give you a cent of the money they confiscate from everyone. Quit hating rich people and go get rich. Damn fool! If you rely on these goons for your retirement you'll be stuck in a nursing home to die with no money to leave your grandkids.
You really are a complete moron. Yes yes... those loving liberals care more with our money then we do so they should be allowed to confiscate our earnings and use them as they see fit. If you think that will bring equality you're a complete buffoon. Who is getting money from Bush's bailout and Obama's stimulus... It's the MF'ing rich! Bankers, politicians, labor unions, and loan companies are getting this money for their greedy spending spree and you're paying for it you blithering foo!
We live in a country governed by the person who gets the most votes. Quit whining about the results from Nov 4, 2008. Get over it. Move on. You guys lost - in a landslide. Get a job. Do something more productive with your life than just sitting around teabagging each other.
Yep, a lynch mob is a majority in their own domain, and if 51% of Americans say it should be legal to molest children then you should put your daughter in high heels too. You're a moron. Majority rule isn't patriotism when the majority isn't patriotic and voting to tax your neighbor to recieve benefits for yourself is government sponsored theft. You and your Christian hating, Jew hating, pro-Marxist, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro loving commies can all go to hell!
That's how insulting they were toward people who believe they're being taxed too highly." White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the White House was "amused" by the tea parties, but that "nobody out there is making $250,000 a year" as if that were somehow relevant.
President Obama said that he was "completely unaware" of the tea party protests. How can it be that the president could be "unaware" of a grass-roots protest movement of this size and scope? Doesn't he have a TV?
" How can it be that the president could be "unaware" of a grass-roots protest movement of this size and scope? Doesn't he have a TV? "
I think he has more important things to do then listen to a bunch of disgruntled conservative idiots. He knows that there is opposition he doesn't need to watch TV to know there are people in Congress who don't agree with him.
Click on my link almartin77 and listen to attorney Tom Cryer explained why there is NO LAW that makes the average working American LIABLE for the payment of income taxes on his earnings from the exercise of a natural right to live and provide for themselves and families!
It's funny we can go out and have a peaceful protest against big government and unfair taxes and yet we are "tea bagging", stupid racists. And yet our founding fathers did something very similar and they are considered heroes. Maybe Americans should stop listening to the liberal media and think for themselves and use a little common sense.
1braves2fan3: Actually, the Tea Act of 1773 CUT tea taxes, so the price of East India Co. tea undercut smuggled Dutch (and other) tea, threatening to put a lot of colonists out of work. Thus the protest. A lot like the Wal-Marting of America, IOW, that put Main Street out of business. So teabaggers are protesting a tax CUT. You people are a million laughs!
Learn some history of your country at your local socialist library protected by socialist fire and police, then protest.
I may be wrong but wasn't the Boston Tea Party and the American Revolution a revolt against all of the British taxes including the Intolerable Acts, not just the tea act. Just like today where we are faced with a variety of problems stemming from big government. Plus how the hell are average people supposed to pay taxes when more and more jobs are being lost everyday. After all most of the people in Obama's cabinet seem to fail to pay taxes all the time and get away with it if not rewarded.
1braves2fan3: "we are faced with a variety of problems stemming from big government.'
No, it was mostly small government, deregulation, that led to the collapse. This was in all the papers.
"Plus how the hell are average people supposed to pay taxes when more and more jobs are being lost everyday."
If you don't have a job, and thus no income, you don't pay any income tax. If you have no money and don't buy anything, you pay no sales tax. And so on. ???
1776 illuminati fund USA mason control america2009 second revolutionaries will be acused injustly of racist and terrorist, govmnt agnts will infiltrate tea parties and rise violence national guard will respond millions will be arrested and killed...FEMA CAMPS... be careful america go by legal ways on this teaprties fund new political party cus if you dont you´ll be unable to defend from evil illuminati govmn of yours reporters askn if yu think obma born american will acuse yu later of racists
in every economy there is socialism and capitalism...medicare for example is a socialism idea/policy...I promise none of these dumb people would give up there medicare...true some are not old enough to have it yet but one day they will and their elder family/loved ones already have it, many other policies are socialism ideas as well that are very necessary...either these people are ignorant or racist...."The dreams of men, the seeds of commonwealth, and the germs of empires."
SuccessNOR123: "I can't see how many of the arguments presented at the tea parties are valid."
Welcome to the majority. A new Gallup poll just said we the people are more happy now with our tax level than at any time since 1956. These teabaggers are out of step malcontents stirred up by losers Glenn Beck and DICK Armey. They're plutocrats who bow to the rich. Ignore them.
You shouldn't invest in new technology until wages go up. Wages are the key. Concentration of wealth has NEVER worked.
What the hell????? People protesting the looting of the country are plutocrats who bow to the rich? Which "rich" are you talking about? These people are AGAINST Wall Street and banksters and corrupt politicians like Obama who are funded by them.
Where in the Constitution do they get the power to give OUR MONEY to bankers? Or FOREIGN BANKS!!!!
Ogeron: "Where in the Constitution do they get the power to give OUR MONEY to bankers?"
Ask Bush about his TARP with no accountability. But on your question, where in the Constitution is child labor mentioned? Shouldn't the free market decide that? Where is there anything on the patent office or copyrights? Why should I have to pay taxes to protect YOUR invention or song? What's wrong with personal responsibility? :)
Ogeron: "How the hell did child labor get into this?"
Nuts are always saying "so-and-so is not in the Constitution!" Point is (lost on you) that a LOT of things are not in the Constitution. That's why we have a Congress. It's a silly non sequitur.
"Privacy" is not mentioned either, so nuts say you have no right to it (like communists, they are ALWAYS trying to limit rights). In 1789, privacy meant going to the outhouse, thus the word "privy" for outhouse. Class dismissed.
"Nuts are always saying "so-and-so is not in the Constitution!"
So it's nuts to point out usurpation of powers?
Are you not a nut because you don't give a damn?
"Privacy" is not mentioned either, so nuts say you have no right to it"
I never said that. The Constitution doesn't give us our rights. We have rights by nature. The Constitution is supposed to be about the DELEGATED and ENUMERATED powers given to the federal gov't.
"These people are AGAINST Wall Street and banksters..." Here's what the teabaggers are all about, in their own words: Teabagger Signs Reload for the Revolution (w/gun drawing) Obamanomics - monkey see, monkey do (w/Obama drawn as a monkey) Waterboard Pelosi Hang 'em high! The American taxpayers are the Jews for Obama's ovens The convicted shall suffer death Obama's Plan - White Slavery Taxing Scholiast Policies (points off for spelling, these aren't smart people) Move over, Timothy McVeigh.
In order to create new jobs, it is necessary to stimulate growth, just like it was necessary under the New Deal. Furthermore, Obamas plan actually give tax breaks to 95% of taxpayers, while the wealthiest have to pay a bit extra. And what about socialism and facism? I live in Norway, where we currently have a socialist government, and we enjoy the largest GDP per capita in the world, is ranked second on the HDI-index, and has one of the largest budget surpluses in the world.
SuccessNOR123: oops, I posted a reply to you to the top level. Look for it, sorry.
Isn't a better term for Norway et al. "social democracy?" That's the term we usually use here.
Yes, you are more in control than we are here. Government is like a see-saw, a balance. If the voters have less say-so, as in eliminating the SEC as some want, then someone unelected and not accountable to you is going to make those decisions for you. You see this in dictatorships, theocracies, and monarchies, mostly.
"In order to create new jobs, it is necessary to stimulate growth"
The New Deal didn't stimulate growth; it stole from people. People who work and produce are the source of wealth, not fascist dictators like Roosevelt.
"Obamas plan actually give tax breaks to 95% of taxpayers"
They are inflating the money supply. That steals from everyone in order to pay for their looting schemes for the bankers.
They are using class warfare to make 50% not pay income tax and thus support the regime.
As an MBA student, I can't see how many of the arguments presented at the tea parties are valid. First, demand is slumping. Why? Because people are saving what little they have left from the devastating effects of the housing bubble and layoffs, instead of going out and actually purchasing things. Businesses have less incentive to produce. Therefore, you must invest in new technology and job creation so that people get money in their pockets, and ultimately start buying things again.
Speaker Ken Emanuelson's recent political contributions:
2002: $3,000
2004: $4,000
2006: $4,000
2008: $1,000
$12,000 total. Wow.
Who here has that kind of money to throw away on a losing party? Who here identifies with this guy? How many of those Dallas teabaggers have that kind of spare loot?
This was money he COULD have invested in creating jobs, or helping those who have lost jobs due to Republican policies. But noooo... "It's all about me and my tax cuts for the rich."
With a computer you can data mine the Internal Revenue Code. In minuets you can find out who is liable for the income tax. Just remember that all taxes imposed by the Code share 3 absolutes.
1.What is taxed is identified.
2.The amount of tax is given
3.Persons liable for the tax are clearly identified.
There is no such thing as an inferred or implied tax liability. You can down load the Code in searchable PDF format here w w w . truthattack . c o m
We have heard that because of the CNN reporter's actions (Susan Roesgen), Tea Party followers are asked to boycott any and all of CNN's advertisers. We know that in this economy money talks! Let CNN know who has the REAL power! Please spread the word. CNN has not supported our Tea Parties, so we will not support CNN or their advertisers. Use Twitter and YouTube to get the message out.
Hi, did you know that the numbers of the Beast were drawn on Obama's election night in his State ? Check out my page at the main video, I've put it there.
This event took place all over the city and all over America, you only see what you want to see... if you only knew what happen today. This has grown to millions...
Its great that the american people are voicing there opinion. Using the 1st amendment. Thats great. But you cant blame bush for this one sorry. I dont h ate the guy just disagreed what he did on his second term. But now the people are bitching about the bailouts and spending. But you all forgot you voted for obama. YOU WANTED CHANGE YOU GOT IT!
sorry if this offends anyone. But think before you vote
Lets be honest, these are undercover racist people who is trying to use a Tea Party as a cover up, the President is black, get over it. Where were they 8 yrs ago when Bush spent 4 trillion on Iraq war that had nothing to do w/ Sept. 11. Obama is trying to spend 3.6 trillion in American to get the economy moving but thats a crime. The GOP is finished in American, throw your Tea Parties & keep your lies. 2008 Left 65m votes to Right 55m votes, 2012 Left 75m votes to Right 45m votes.
And historically, unemployment right now IS quite high, but its been higher several times during this century. So perhaps we disagree about what "all time" means.
If you are a loyal Republican Party hating libertarian, I'll give you some cred. If you are a Republican who just figured out how bad the national debt is after ignoring it for eight years.....well, It's hard to think of people in that boat as being grown ups.
Proud? Once his party espoused "Country first!" Since losing big time, NOW it's secessionist talk: "But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that."
Who knows? We patriots! What's the penalty for treason?
Problem is, his possible opponent for governor, Kay Hutchison, has a 5th Amendment problem. I don't think many people will vote for someone who had to take the 5th for misappropriating taxpayer dollars for her campaign.
"Number of people there who get tax cuts under Obama? 100%"
No. The inflation tax hits everybody. It is a stealth tax and is completely unjust. We need a sound, honest, constitutional monetary system - not this private banking cartel to which politicians are beholden.
Obama is spending insanely and increasing the debt just like Bush. The federal gov't is totally out of control. They don't even read the bills they vote for! There isn't even time. They have really ruined us.
OgeronimonominoregO: "The federal gov't is totally out of control."
No, it's totally in control. We just had an election influenced largely by the proven failures of your ideas. People didn't like your candidate's ideas, which were to repeat the same failures and expect different results.
Protest 6 straight weeks of the Dow going up and my main position going up 48% since its "ruined" Bush low, then we'll talk. I thought it would take a year or more to get back to this level. Thanks Barack!
Ogeron: Again: Protest 6 straight weeks of the Dow going up and my main position going up 48% since its "ruined" Bush low, then we'll talk.
Obviously your candidate was not Obama, despite being for freedom, peace, and the rule of law. What other candidate espoused those? Certainly not WcBush, he was firmly stay the course of failure. Maybe your candidate was from some extremist party?
We were "ruined" long before Jan. 20. Imagine where we'd be today had we cut and run from the problem.
okay he has been in office just a few months... give me a break who do you think put America in depth and who do you think put those soldiers out there where have you been these PAST YEARS. Yes he is spending money, but only to fix problems of the past. Sometimes you have to make a mess to clean a mess! Dont blame all our problems on a man that just got there!
I've been criticizing Bush and the Republicans for doing the SAME THINGS!
Don't you people get it? It isn't about this idiotic left-right thing - as in, "This guy may be a warmonger and a torturer and thief, but he's MY warmonger and MY torturer and MY thief."
Wake up! It's about tyranny vs liberty. The political parties are the SAME. They have different RHETORIC and they FAVOR certain groups over others, but they do the SAME THINGS!
How many more troops is Obama sending to Afghanistan? At least 17,000.
Are the troops coming home? No.
How long will these wars last? Not a clue.
Why these wars? You tell me.
Why are innocent people murdered needlessly? Because every single day people continue to worship corrupt murderous politicians for the sake of looting their neighbors and getting stuff for "free".
He is shielding CIA torturers. They will not be investigated nor prosecuted. He's just playing politics. It's all about perception. You flash a little rhetoric and then you continue doing the same things.
Tell me, if they can't be investigated then how does anything change? It's just like Bush: "The US doesn't torture". It's a press release; it isn't the truth.
Obama's appealing Bagram habeus corpus so he can hold people unlawfully like Bush!
Ogeron: OK, so you're further to the left than I. Yes, I am also unhappy Obama hasn't brought Cheney war criminals to trial and done other things. Congress still can. But again, consider the only viable alternative: WcBush.
At least he's getting the truth out there. Democracy depends on an informed electorate. Note how the wingers are against getting the truth out. They depend on an uninformed electorate, as do all despots.
"They depend on an uninformed electorate, as do all despots."
So does Obama. Why do you think they're any different? Same policies of war, CIA kidnappings and "enhanced interrogation methods", giving money to bankers and big business.
Obama even had Dodd put in an amendment to make sure AIG execs would get their bonuses!
Why are you defending these people? Just because it's not the Bush crowd?
We have to break out of the left-right party paradigm. It's how they keep control.
Ah, the people from T.H.E.Y. Probably backed by the Bilderbergers, the Council on Foreign relations, and the International Jewish Conspiracy.
I'm sorry, no point in discussing things with a paranoid conspiracy theorist. I dunno'f you are a Ross Perot guy or a Lyndon LaRouche aficionado, but you are too far out of the mainstream to be relevant or worth discussing anything with. People like you and most teabaggers don't matter. Seeya, watch out for commies.
Well that;s a loaded question of why so many people are out of work. but the blame can be shared equally by all. What I don't understand is why middle class americans are fighting getting a tax break? I don't get why the joe the plumbers out there are complaining about.
These people are so sad. They don't even realize they are protesting eight years of Bush economic policy and tax cuts - all dismal failures that have led us to this. What's to happen to the world if this is the best thinking these people are capable of. God damn, they need to go home and learn something. I cannot understand the willful stupidity. It's so irresponsible.
tryto: They oppose economic recovery because it will mean even more crushing defeats in 2010/2012 than in 2006 and 2008. They want America to fail so they can get more power. No way, they taught us all too well that lax regulation combined with tinkle-down economics always fails.
"The fundamentals of our economy are strong." -WcBush, 9/15/08. Imagine where we'd be today if WcBush had been elected and doubled down on the last eight years of failure. My main stock position is already up 44.5%!
If that's the case then you should try to educate yourself on the cause of this crisis.
Check out mises dot or for great articles on the subject. The source of the problem is the Federal Reserve system which creates money out of nothing.
When they expand credit by artificially setting low interest rates, they fuel a boom which is unsustainable because it fools the market into thinking that there is savings and production when there is not.
@trytomakeitreal Actually they do realize they are protesting eight years of Bush economic policy, because he spent just as much money as obama. With exception of a few republican fags who think they are teabaggers, most tea partiers are more libertarian and don't like obama or bush.
@LIGHTRONIX .....nope, this is way too soon for dissent....he just got sworn in a month prior when this video was made......do these so called "libertarians" have a crystal ball??? ....nice try.
Obama is an idiot, no question, but you all are placing blame on the wrong branch of government. How about looking at the legislative branch and holding them responsible, both republican and democrat. They have all violated the constitution and their oath
it is good to see people out and forcing the government to act on behalf of the people and not themselves. But lets face it, it is the american peoples fault we are in this mess, Apathetic voting, failure to vote, failure to hold our elected officials responsible for their actions. This financial nightmare did not occur in 4 months it has building for 20 years. Realise then get informed and help fix it.
Considering that eveyrbody at all these tea bag parties are mainly dressed in wal mart apparel, they shouldnt be complaining about taxes, because their getting a break.
When it comes to national debt people need to understand that it is a liability for the country, but a large portion of debt is actually an asset to citizens in the country, although portions are owned by foreign countries. However it is not as bad as they make it out to be. And financing serves a purpose for a country.
Hey scroto-Americans: Here's (one of) the funniest thing about teabaggers: The original tea party was about a REDUCTION in taxes. The East India Company CUT tea taxes from 25% to ZERO. The protests were about the Wal-Marting of small tea sellers and smugglers who could not compete with their now-lower prices. Home skooled, are we?
Stupid is as stupid does. Go a-teabaggin' while we stand back and watch those ignorant or American history teabag each other. HAHAHA!
Does anybody think these dumbass things were a good idea? What the fuck are the protests actually about? Government spending? Where have you losers been for the past eight years? When you increase spending during a recession (like now), it's normal government policy. When you increase spending during good times (like most of W's presidency), it's called being irresponsible.
So is it the spending? Or do you people think our president is Kenyan?
Tea bagging sounds very gay to me...They should have pink elephants...Little boys in tu tu's... This is so gay...not that there' s anything wrong with it...but its just gay...
Looks like the morons were out in force. Uneducated goobers shouldn't be out and about talking and screaming about what they don't understand. Tea Party's are supposed to be non-partisan..... so much for that. Idiots.
Dude, you better bank that money, cause you're gonna have to pay it back next year. Really? $13 dollars or whatever it is? Is that really gonna help you out?
I think it is going to be after my next check i will see a difference that President Obama has made. I will pay less taxes and I hear it will be pretty good. Whoo Hoo! It's about damn time we get a break. Why would I go to the tea party, there is nothing to bitch about in my pay bracket.
Who in the hell is going to work the jobs the Mexicans work.? And why couldn't you work those jobs anyways? Are you saying they are doing better with the interviews and they can't even speak the lingo? what a shame. While you all were worried about the mexicans, GWB and his buddies were looting Americans. All a set up.

Impeach Obama! Obama is not a U.S. citizen and his aunt knows it. She was more than likely in Kenya with the tribe when Obama was born and that is why Obama is making sure that she stays in The United States. Obama's Auntie says, "Deport me and I'll tell everyone that Obama was born in Kenya and I was there."

In May 2009 Obama plans to speak publicly about immigration reform, to begin discussing possible legislation for as early as this fall. His plan is to make legal status possible for an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants. Obama wants illegals to keep their jobs, when millions of jobless Americans could have their jobs. Face it people, Obama is not a president for the American people. Change? That's all you will have in your pockets when Obama gets through with you.
The problem with this stuff is that it seems wholly nonsensical. None of these "conservatives" were protesting Bush's domestic or foreign policy, but they are suddenly outraged and taking to the streets. Also, why are these groups all 99.999% white, attacking Obama personally, and supported by Stormfront?
Obama has already lowered taxes on 90% of Americans.
You stupid repigs who are waiting for the rich 1% to thank you for teabagging them will probably just keep on waiting - your rich idols are wayyyyy too busy to waste time with loser tools like repigs.
70 people, minus 20 children, a whopping 50 people showed up in a "teabag" custom to promote the upcoming circus de âne. This guy cannot put together a single coherent sentence that sit well within the realm of reason. All playing to the emotions of impressionable minds because it is more "marketable" these days.
cmovbe, a simple google search reveals the exact figures Obama put into the budget for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. From the NY Times:
"The cost of overseas conflicts, mainly in Iraq and Afghanistan, follows a fairly simple progression in the presidents budget plan: $144 billion in fiscal year 2009, $130 billion in 2010, and — in what the administration concedes are placeholder estimates — of $50 billion for 2011 and beyond."
Funny how you couldn't find (or look for) this....
You people are a bunch of idiots, thinking the Republicans will save you with the body of their philosophy covered in a flag and holding a cross, guess what? All that getup is hiding a CORPSE. The dead, bloated body of godless CAPITALISM and godless JINGOISM. God has said in no uncertain terms He will judge the uncaring rich harshly. Or have you forgotten of the parable of Lazarus and the rich man, or the camel and the needle? Luke 16:19-31, Matthew 19:23-24, Mark 10:24-25, and Luke 18:24-25.
We all smell it, October Road. It's the same odor as the b.s. that those last 27% of Bush fanatical supporters were clinging to as he left the country in shambles and retreated back to Texas in January. These folks can dress it up any way they want, but at the heart of it, there is just a deep fear of the country changing and embracing the future. Conservatives are as the name implies - conservative- meaning they are resistant to change. Too bad. You lost. So get over it and act don't yack!
Give us another choice besides the tried and tired solution of giving tax cuts to the top 1% of America - who store their money in offshore tax havens anyway. The Republican led administration and Congress squandered a surplus left by Clinton, and now are railing against Obama who is trying to FIX the mess.. Enjoy your teabag parties, and let me know when you come up with a real solution.
TeaParty, let me ask you a very legitimate question regarding government spending and your sudden averse reaction to it. Under the Bush administration, we spent nearly 1 trillion dollars on two wars. One of which -Iraq- was sold to us on a lie involving WMD that were not there. Where was the outrage from you then? And where was the outrage last fall when Bush and Treasury Sec. Paulson passed the $700 billion TARP stimulus package? If it's not about Obama, where was the outrage w/ Bush?
Do you realize we had a budget surplus of over $120 billion in 2000 when Clinton left office? So why is that under a Republican administration with total Republican control of both houses of Congress for 6 years, that surplus was turned into a 1 trillion dollar deficit? Where did you think the money was going to come from to pay for that kind of spending? And again, where was all the outrage then? You guys have arrived at this "rage" via the drumbeat you hear pounded daily by Hannity/Limbaugh.
Of course Dallas would have this. There is a strong right wing contingent there. It's where the last President lives now! The video claims Obama's approval ratings are "quickly falling" Hmmm. That's odd. Since this video was posted at the end of February, his ratings have actually now hit record highs. 66% in a CBS/NY Times poll out today. But I don't even have to cite this. It's beyond evident that Obama is not some radical with nefarious intentions. He's a smart, decent man.
What really gets me the most about all this right wing bashing of Obama is that when Bush was in office, post 9/11 he had the FULL support of both sides. 90% approval. Yet through shear stubbornness and HORRIBLE misleading communication, he led us into a ditch. And what did right wingers do? They labelled all of us who spoke out about it "traitors" and "unpatrioitic." Now that a new guy is in, who is trying something they don't like, they can't give him two seconds. They just pout and go nuts.
How about this... if you believe, TRULY believe that he is a decent man who loves his country, then why not allow this plan to at least get some legs. Wells Fargo just announced RECORD profits for the first quarter. RECORD profits. This was directly related to the drop in interest rates and all the workings behind the scenes to get us back on track. We've not tended to our infrastructure, our energy need, and so much more for far too long. It's time to do something, and he's trying. Bush did 0
You are just not being honest here. You say in other replies that you're not anti Obama, yet right here in the video and in your own reply to me you again reference poll numbers to try and show he's declining in popularity. If you're not against his success, then why so much attention and concentration on his poll numbers? It's a disingenuous stance you are taking. At least man up and admit this is about politics, not some sudden enlightenment in the area of fiscal policy.
It's so disingenuous of those on the right to be "up in arms" literally the SECOND Obama took office. It didn't matter what he did, or was going to do, they are scared of anything that isn't their idea. And they feed off of a very specific message from the Hannity/Limbaugh broadcasts. Hannity would say things like "I want this president to succeed!" Then the next second he would say "he's a socialist! this is tyranny!" One month in, this vid was posted. We had to take Bush for 8 years. Man up.
Democrats and Republicans are the same. They mock you and your political ignorance. They know that you get your "news" from what you see on TV, and what you read on Yahoo, and think you are informed, in fact they both count on your ignorance.
It is the oldest play in the book, and it works almost every time...divide and conquer.
The worry is that the spending may lead to rampant inflation and a "credit card bill" that America's children will be burdened with. Once again, the rally was not anti-Obama. Yes, his policy has resulted in big spending. Congress has been approving 'big spending' for some time now.
Either way thank you for your view and your comments.
February 2009....huh?..........a little soon for dissent against a brand new president, dont you think?.....or is it really just sour grapes?

In a capitalist society we do not reward stupidity at the expense of responsibilty.
fishguru73 2 years ago
yeah, in a capitolist society, you would let every poor and downtrodden individual die... because they didnt have parents golden nipples to suckle on. pure capitolsm doesnt work, the brunt of our people would fail in that society and when we failed we would revolt, and i would come to your house, and steal your shit.... we need a balancing of the wage grade, or the rich would take it all, and then i would kill them and take it

Nuts are always saying "so-and-so is not in the Constitution!" Point is (lost on you) that a LOT of things are not in the Constitution. That's why we have a Congress. It's a silly non sequitur.

SuccessNOR123 2 years ago
SuccessNOR123: oops, I posted a reply to you to the top level. Look for it, sorry.
Isn't a better term for Norway et al. "social democracy?" That's the term we usually use here.
Yes, you are more in control than we are here. Government is like a see-saw, a balance. If the voters have less say-so, as in eliminating the SEC as some want, then someone unelected and not accountable to you is going to make those decisions for you. You see this in dictatorships, theocracies, and monarchies, mostly.
armadilloze 2 years ago
"In order to create new jobs, it is necessary to stimulate growth"
The New Deal didn't stimulate growth; it stole from people. People who work and produce are the source of wealth, not fascist dictators like Roosevelt.
"Obamas plan actually give tax breaks to 95% of taxpayers"
They are inflating the money supply. That steals from everyone in order to pay for their looting schemes for the bankers.
They are using class warfare to make 50% not pay income tax and thus support the regime.
OgeronimonominoregO 2 years ago
As an MBA student, I can't see how many of the arguments presented at the tea parties are valid. First, demand is slumping. Why? Because people are saving what little they have left from the devastating effects of the housing bubble and layoffs, instead of going out and actually purchasing things. Businesses have less incentive to produce. Therefore, you must invest in new technology and job creation so that people get money in their pockets, and ultimately start buying things again.

You can down load the Code in searchable PDF format here w w w . truthattack . c o m

Obama has two wars going. He has already killed innocent people who never hurt anyone.
He is a statist, and statism is fundamentally opposed to freedom since it operates out of a philosophy of coercion and brute force.
He has no respect whatsoever for the rule of law. He has looted the nation in order to enrich bankers. He had no legal authority to do this.
He's a killer, a tyrant, and a thief.

How many more troops is Obama sending to Afghanistan? At least 17,000.

Obama even had Dodd put in an amendment to make sure AIG execs would get their bonuses!
Why are you defending these people? Just because it's not the Bush crowd?
We have to break out of the left-right party paradigm. It's how they keep control.

Why the protest.
FACT: For people that actually work Federal income tax was lowered.
FACT: The only planned tax increase is for the wealthiest Americans. I don't think any of these people will be effected.

OgeronimonominoregO 2 years ago
@trytomakeitreal Actually they do realize they are protesting eight years of Bush economic policy, because he spent just as much money as obama. With exception of a few republican fags who think they are teabaggers, most tea partiers are more libertarian and don't like obama or bush.

Change? That's all you will have in your pockets when Obama gets through with you.

cmovbe, a simple google search reveals the exact figures Obama put into the budget for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

JamesR1969 2 years ago 2
Do you realize we had a budget surplus of over $120 billion in 2000 when Clinton left office? So why is that under a Republican administration with total Republican control of both houses of Congress for 6 years, that surplus was turned into a 1 trillion dollar deficit? Where did you think the money was going to come from to pay for that kind of spending? And again, where was all the outrage then? You guys have arrived at this "rage" via the drumbeat you hear pounded daily by Hannity/Limbaugh.
JamesR1969 2 years ago 2
Of course Dallas would have this. There is a strong right wing contingent there. It's where the last President lives now! The video claims Obama's approval ratings are "quickly falling" Hmmm. That's odd. Since this video was posted at the end of February, his ratings have actually now hit record highs. 66% in a CBS/NY Times poll out today. But I don't even have to cite this. It's beyond evident that Obama is not some radical with nefarious intentions. He's a smart, decent man.
JamesR1969 2 years ago
What really gets me the most about all this right wing bashing of Obama is that when Bush was in office, post 9/11 he had the FULL support of both sides. 90% approval. Yet through shear stubbornness and HORRIBLE misleading communication, he led us into a ditch. And what did right wingers do? They labelled all of us who spoke out about it "traitors" and "unpatrioitic." Now that a new guy is in, who is trying something they don't like, they can't give him two seconds. They just pout and go nuts.
JamesR1969 2 years ago 4
Check Pew and Rassmusen.
Nov. was in the 80%s, Now in the high 50%'s. That is dropping!
We agree that Obama is a decent man who loves his country.
BTW- The original 2009 'Tea Party' was started in Chicago. Obama's and Blago's home turf.
Either way thank you for your view and your comments.
Best to you and your family,

TheDallasTeaParty 2 years ago
How about this... if you believe, TRULY believe that he is a decent man who loves his country, then why not allow this plan to at least get some legs. Wells Fargo just announced RECORD profits for the first quarter. RECORD profits. This was directly related to the drop in interest rates and all the workings behind the scenes to get us back on track. We've not tended to our infrastructure, our energy need, and so much more for far too long. It's time to do something, and he's trying. Bush did 0
JamesR1969 2 years ago 4
You are just not being honest here. You say in other replies that you're not anti Obama, yet right here in the video and in your own reply to me you again reference poll numbers to try and show he's declining in popularity. If you're not against his success, then why so much attention and concentration on his poll numbers? It's a disingenuous stance you are taking. At least man up and admit this is about politics, not some sudden enlightenment in the area of fiscal policy.
JamesR1969 2 years ago 3
The original Tea Party (Chicago based) made it a point that this was anti-spending.
The approval rating stat was just to show that public sentiment is now bi-partisan.
It is also a fact that President Obama is now in charge of this (along with congress).
Either way thank you for your view and your comments.
Best to you and your family,

TheDallasTeaParty 2 years ago
It's so disingenuous of those on the right to be "up in arms" literally the SECOND Obama took office. It didn't matter what he did, or was going to do, they are scared of anything that isn't their idea. And they feed off of a very specific message from the Hannity/Limbaugh broadcasts. Hannity would say things like "I want this president to succeed!" Then the next second he would say "he's a socialist! this is tyranny!" One month in, this vid was posted. We had to take Bush for 8 years. Man up.
