you know that he basically killed the seal by touching it at all right? it would have gotten out on it's own, it just didn't want to, since he touched it with all things, his bare hands, his scent was left on it, the mother will abandon it due to the human scent and the pup will die of starvation in all likeliness.

that's what happened when paul macartney's wife touched a seal pup, she was held accountable for the seal pup's abandonment.
