How could they cast Gary Daniels as Bryan Fury instead of Scott Adkins? That continues to blow my mind. I've always liked Gary Daniels (to a certain extent), but he is certainly no Bryan Fury. Long before it came out that a Tekken movie would be in the works, it was clear to me that the only person who could play him was Scott Adkins. By the by, am I the only one who's been dying to see him do a movie with Donnie Yen?
Gary did a nice job my friend. He is more of byans looks and built so they picked him. Scotty would have to jump, roll and do lots of other things throughout the movie while Gary is a stiff but awesome kickboxer like Bryan Fury. They made them look alike, for real, something they wouldnt have been able to do with Scott. Oh and btw, Boyka is the best!
@lobofaca707 After seeing the movie, I'm glad Adkins wasn't in it, and I hate that it was ever made. It has almost nothing on Van Damme's Street Fighter, and is a huge insult to all serious Tekken fans. Yeh, it's just entertainment, but shit is shit, and this latest 'Tekken' has set the new standard for shitty movies of its kind. And yeh, Boyka is the shit, though the third movie (badass as he is in it) had an even shittier cast than the last. And still, it manages to beat 'Tekken'.
@DreadedGuardian okay dude you gotta chill out.Tekken was for kids, obviously and undisputed's cast wasnt terrible, it was alright, its just that the movie wasnt so high on the budget and they took who they could, made an excellent choice. Undisputed 2 & 3 are kickass movies and you dont need superstar actors, not for movies such as undisputed, they are just not up to it.
Scott Adkins in his first lead as well as Isaac Florentine (whom I consider to be the Yuen Woo-Ping of American Martial Arts movies) directing means, I think, that NINJA has the potential to be, like UNDISPUTED 2, one of the greatest American Martial Arts movies of all time.
Well seein' as though my b-day is in February, thats not so bad. Will it be straiht to video? Or a theatre release? Also I think Scott and Tony Jaa should make a movie together. They move so similar.
i hate it when they put scott adkins' face on my body!

That ninja movie really was not great and the pricey bluray doesn't have any behind the scenes stuff. What a rip off. He's a good actor though.

This looks like the best ninja movie to come out in the next 5 years. Ninja assassin included.
