I found Mr. Hoyles words to be very thought provoking and applicable to almost all lives. The lecture didnt grab at you like Randy Pauschs Last Lecture did, but that cant be expected. After watching Professor Hoyles lecture as well as Mr. Pauschs, Ive been inspired to start a similar series at Bryant University. I would love to talk to Erin and/or other students involved in creating UoRs series. Thank you for posting this video.
Very thought provoking, lots of humor but a lot of serious stuff, too. I think he's saying that we should all pay attention to the content of our lives instead of waiting till the end and seeing "the ghosts of Christmas Past" and regretting things. Well worth the time to see and hear.
Nice speech!

Joe Hoyle reminded me of Rupert, the 90 year old Pedo from across the street in Family guy.
I like you, Joe Hoyle.

Ten minutes of narcissistic blathering before Hoyle gets to speak ... where is the fast forward button???

Gotta give him kudos. I can't agree with everything he said, but the direction is obviously the right one, and that's what counts most in life.
