Alter bridge is easily one of my new favorite bands. They're so freakin amazing, and i like the fact that blackbird and ab III dont sound so much like creed as one day remains did. I mean, honestly, I really didn't like creed at all, so i was suprised to find out that songs like this and ties that bind were written by pretty much the same band except with a new lead singer. They're a phenomenal band and great performers, and I can't wait till i see them live in may.

There is something about Mark Tremonti that you really can't get with other guitarists. There is something about his music. The beginning riff in this song is just so inexplainable. It takes you to a different world. Now this is an AB video. I respect that and that is exactly why I came here, to watch Brand New Start...but I also want to say that Mark's chemistry with both Alter Bridge AND Creed are amazing. You don't get that with other rock bands these days...A TRUE guitarist.

Not only can they play hard, fast songs, but they are so talented they can play ballads just as well. They are hands down one of the best bands around today. Everyone's always comparing Creed and Alter Bridge, and one thing that I definitely noticed is that Mark has more solo freedom in AB. In Creed he was still a good guitarist, but he really didn't solo that much. In AB he practically melts your face off with his solos, it's awesome!
