that was awesome!!!! totally cool, thanks for putting this together. tooo funny :-) Love these guys, they had such a great sense of humour and stage presence... good job
I believe they were the best of friends - like close brothers. I still hold to the belief that Yoko broke up the band. If I were John, I would have picked Cynthia, hands down over Yoko. That's my opinion.
@bladesofglory12: Thank you. I was in eighth grade when the Beatles crossed the pond for the first time. When they broke up, I felt as if my parents had just divorced. I was numb, though that was normal for those days.
@pmoyer50 Your welcome..and that's really cool that you got to experience though. I am only fifteen, but I'm a Beatle-John Lennon nut. I so wish I could've been alive then:)
@bladesofglory12: Yeah, but then you'd be an old fart like me. Though I wouldn't trade those days for anything. They were magical. Except for Bob Dylan and Buddy Holly before him and some selective early Brian Wilson songs, music in America was bland, to say the least. The British Invasion was fantastic. Besides the Beatles, there were the Rolling Stones, Hollies, Kinks, Who and numerous other great groups. The Yardbirds and John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers were fantastic, too. Ah, Traffic.
@bladesofglory12: You have helped restore my faith in the youth of today. Lady Gaga makes me gag gag and don't even get me started on a lengthy diatribe about Justin Bieber and the mega non-talent he is.
@pmoyer50 Well, thank you. And I agree with you on Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. They don't have any talent. And I cannot stand rap music. All it is, is people talking and swearing really fast to a computerized beat. I would take The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Doors -- all those guys over the music we have today in a heartbeat. Obviously, I can't live back in that time, as much as I'd like to, but I can still enjoy the music and be thankful.
@bladesofglory12: I agree when it comes to hip hop and rap. The only real true intelligent rap, if it could be construed that, is Bob Dylan's, 'Talking World War III Blues'. The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, when she was with Big Brother and the Holding Company are favorites. One of the ultimate groups of the sixties was Moby Grape. Early Jefferson Airplane was cool. Ian Hunter and Mott the Hoople are favorites, too. For good music, I have to step into the time machine, also.
@pmoyer50 It's a shame that we have too..I'm hoping that the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, in eight years, pulls through so my friend and I can go..let's just hope they have some good music there. I'd love to experience three days of music and peace :)
@bladesofglory12: There have been attempts to recreate what happened and things became violent. The festivals took a bad turn after Altamont. I almost went to Woodstock. The people I was to go with got stuck in the mud and had to turn back. Prior to Woodstock was the Atlantic City Pop Festival. A lot of big names were there and it was like 250,000 people. I don't remember much of it though. My friends had to drag me out of the ocean. I was in the water for over 5 hours. It's a long story.
@bladesofglory12: I'm not certain if another group will ever be able to do what the Beatles did. They changed the music scene forever. Everything seemed to fall in the right place for them at the right time. It was amazing to live through and observe. I liked some of the music of Oasis. But the dude who thinks he is John Lennon really irked me. Before the Sesame Street generation there was Captain Kangaroo and that's like tall Mister Green Jeans singing 'I'm a little teapot short and stout'.
@classychick2601 What MONEY? BEATLE MONEY! She held back Julian's inheritance, wouldnt give him any of John's possessions, sold all Johns stuff, put his likeness in a car commercial, all this while she moved a guy into the Dakota a MONTH after Johns' death, some say she married him, they only broke up in 2001. She a manipulative, money grubbing, self consumed bitch. Ask Julian.
@classychick2601 - I don't even know you, I don't preach and have no interest in laying out facts to people who won't believe the truth if it slapped them in the face. No more replies.

Its weird life aint it ?
You can be friends from very young and think you'll be buds for life then you just drift apart or you change and become strangers.
The Beatles started with one head and when there became two it just didnt work....shame really

Sure John loved Macca but it was rather impolitely of him to bitch his best friend during 10 years!
Even after their reconciliation John proceeded with blaming Macca in all mortal sins.
